"you didn't see that coming?"

Angelina Banner was next to Natasha in the car, shooting her magic at the HYDRA agents shooting at her. The yellow glow from her hands flying everywhere.

Steve could be seen dragging the soldiers on his motorcycle, Thor being seen throwing the men, hitting them with random scrap, and kicking them.

Hulk threw a tank that was blowing up, picking up men and throwing them out of his way violently.

Natasha stopped the car abruptly and all three of them jumped out, heading in different directions.

Tony flew high, going for the building, hitting a blue force field in his attempts. "Shit!"

"Language!" Steve threw out, not thinking as he concentrated on where he was going. "JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?" He moved on, ignoring his own words.

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield" JARVIS replied, the accent evident in the ai voice. "Strucker's technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken"

"Oh, well of course they are! Do they have enhanced people as well?" The sarcasm was evident in Angelina's voice as she flung men around everywhere, many hitting trees violently.

"Loki's scepter must be here!" Thor yelled out, fighting as he spoke. "Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last." Angelina couldn't help but reply.

"Considering how long this has taken, it better be here!" She was getting closer to the base as she demolished the agents.

Natasha threw explosives, wrapping her legs around an agents neck, flipping him over. "At long last is lasting a little long boys." She shot behind her, Clint firing arrows at more agents. "Yeah, I think we lost the element of surprise." Strikes of blue flying past him as he hid behind a tree.

"Wait a second, no one else is gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said 'Language'?" Tony shot at the building with his suit. Angelina could be heard laughing. "Oh my god, you're right!"

"I know." He paused, throwing his motorcycle over his head at a car. "Just slipped out." He could be heard sighing, disappointed in himself.

"Sir, the city is taking fire." JARVIS's voice was heard by everyone, though he was talking to Tony.

"Well, we know Strucker's not gonna worry about civilian casualties." Tony sounded dull as he spoke, knowing it was inevitable. "Send in the Iron Legion." He got it prepped in his suit.

Angelina was running near Clint, dodging gun fire as they got further in. Clint turned around a tree, shooting his arrow for the bunker, a blue blur going past as he fired it.

She got prepared to use her powers, Clint going to shoot another arrow, getting flipped in the process. She got knocked down by the blur as well in her split second of shock.

He walked past Clint, speaking to him as he went, "You didn't see that coming?" The attractive blonde smirked, looking cocky and proud of himself. Angelina swore she had heard that voice before, getting a sense of deja vu from his words. He got a glimpse of her, his heart sinking when he saw her face. He ran away from them, after she barely got a glimpse of him, wondering why he seemed so familiar.

"Oh, come on! I wasn't serious when I said they would have an enhanced!" Angelina was baffled as she had a yellow aura surrounding her hands, ready to fire when she got the chance.

A gun was fired and Clint fell down to the snowy ground below him. Natasha yelled out as she made her way to him. Angelina already on the ground with him, trying to help ease the pain with her powers.

Steve could be heard over the coms, "We have an enhanced in the field." Angelina looked offended as her powers glowed yellow on Clint's side. "I just said that, did I not!"

"Clint's hit!" Natasha could be heard, her voice gaining close to the two Avengers. She slid down next to us, getting shot at as she got down. "Somebody want to deal with that bunker?" She had an annoyed tone as she spoke.

Hulk came through, destroying the bunker as he ran through it. "Thanks dad," Angelina called out as she focused on keeping Clint from being in too much pain.

"Stark, we really need to get inside" Steve was throwing his shield, knocking down multiple agents.

"I'm closing in" Tony was close to getting into their base, getting them one step closer to getting out of there. "JARVIS, am I, closing in?"

"You don't even know yourself?" Angelina sounded baffled, her mouth shaping an O as she sat there with Clint.

"Do you see a power source, for that shield?" Tony ignored the teenagers comment, not listening to a word she said.

"There's a particle wave below the north tower"

Tony flew past buildings, knocking people down as he went. "Great, I want to poke it with something."

He fired something at the shield, finding the weak point. The blue shield could be seen falling from the woodsy area below.

"The drawbridge is down, people."

"Hell yeah!" Angelina cheered quickly, twisting an agents arm, flinging him in front of her into a tree.

"Careful, Cap don't like that language Angel." Tony chided her, having a teasing tone in his voice. She laughed at the comment, making her way even closer to the building ahead of her.

"Clint's hit pretty bad, guys. We're gonna need evac." Natasha was heard over the coms, sounding concerned for their friend.

"I can get Barton to the jet. The sooner we're gone, the better. You and Stark secure the scepter." Thor spoke to Natasha and Steve, a tank heading their way. "Copy that."

"Looks like they're lining up." Thor looked on with wonder in his eyes. "Well, they're excited." Steve held his shield up and Thor hit it with his hammer, creating a line of lightning going down the line of agents.

Angelina could be heard gasping, "No! Did I really just miss it?! Damnit!" She was hoping to have seen the new trick that Thor and Steve came up with.

"Find the scepter." Steve nodded at him, "Angelina, meet me up at the base." He spoke to her over the coms.

"And for gosh sake, watch your language!" Tony 'scolded' the girl again, getting a laugh out of her.

"That's not going away any time soon." Steve's head dropped when he spoke. Angelina spoke up with a small 'nope' while laughing lightly.

AN: first chapter! yayy!! i got about 400 words in and then completely deleted everything because i hated it. and i fear that if i reread this, im gonna hate it too, which is why i'm just gonna pray it turned out well and coherent. and if it didn't, let me know!
