-Ezra POV-

I woke up but something told me to keep my eyes close. It was a good thing I did because it seemed to me that the crew was talking about the 'situations that have been happening' (as Kanan put it).

"What are we going to do about this?", Sabine asked.

"I don't know, but maybe we should take turns watching him", Hera offered.

"Yeah, because she always seems to take action when he is alone", Zeb chimed in.

"That could work. Does everybody agree to watch him on a selected day?", Hera asked.

There was a slight pause; so I guess everyone nodded in agreement.

"Who's going to watch him today?", Sabine asked.

"I will", Kanan offered.

Yes! Kanan will be watching. She will surely not come today. Well, anymore today.

"I will do the second day. Zeb can you do third?", Hera asked.

"Sure, no problem for Ezra", Zeb answered.

"I guess that leaves Chopper and I for the fourth day", Sabine added.

Chopper made some noises that reminded me of a grumpy old man.

"What? She will surely come if you are here, by yourself, just watching him",Sabine joked.

I heard more beeping and arms flailing about.

"We trust you Chopper. Just not alone with Ezra", Hera joked. That gave everyone in the room a light chuckled as Chopper moaned.

There was a tickle in the back of my throat and I coughed. 'Well, I just blew my cover', I thought. I moaned as I opened my eyes.

"Ezra?", Kanan asked.

I tried to get up but was pushed back down by Zeb.

"Kid, with your wounds, you're going to have to be in bed in a while", Zeb tried to reassured me.

I tried to speak but my throat hurt like I have been strangled. Oh wait. I kinda was. I gathered all my strength and I tried to shout, 'WATER!'. But what actually came out was a barely audible voice that scratched out, "Watttter".

Hera's mother instinct kicked in. "Water! Of course! I will also bring you something to eat, you haven't eaten all day", Hera smiled sweetly. She patted me on the shoulder before she walked out the room.

After she left, Sabine patted my shoulder and gave me a pad and pen.

"I heard about what happened", she shook her head as if she was holding back tears. "So, Chopper and I looked around and found a pad and paper to help you with speaking for the moment".

I opened up the pad and wrote 'Thanks, Sabine. You too Chopper.'

Sabine smiled brightly and Chopper turned around in circles a few times.

"Well, I guess you should know what is going on..", Sabine said. Slowly and steadily; Kanan, Zeb and Sabine informed me about how I wasn't going to be left alone. If I was left alone, there would be a high chance her she coming back. I know I already heard this before but, it was hard to hear this all over again. To let this actually sink in.

Kanan must have sensed that I was down in the dumps because his voice sounded very perky.

"Hey Ezra. Even though all this seemed to happen today, Zeb found a little fun in all this", Kanan smirked at Zeb."

"You promised you wouldn't tell!", Zeb shouted.

"I promised, but you didn't", Kanan smirked.

Zeb squirmed and I started to write, 'Zeb, if you tried on my clothes, then I don't care.' Zeb looked at it and his face looked like he smelled something rotten!

"I didn't do that! I played with your..", Zeb started.

Sabine leaned closer to Zeb. "Played with what, Zeb?".

"I played with his light saber!", Zeb yelled.

I turned over in the bed and tried to keep a laugh down. It hurt so much but felt so good. I turned over and wrote on my pad, 'Really Zeb?'.

"I was worried and I spotted your light saber. I checked to make sure no one was around and I turned it on. It surprised me at first then I felt like I could handle it. So I started to whip it around and I was liking it a lot, when Kanan came in and saw me". Zeb look totally uncomfortable and looked out of place with all the guffaws happening around him.

I shook uncontrollably with laughter. It was as if someone took my funny bone hostage. Hera came in with some soup and a glass of water. I pounced on the water and drank it all up. I grabbed my sketch pad and wrote, 'Thank you, Hera'.

"I see you gave him the sketch pad. And thank you Ezra. Now eat up!", Hera said with a smile. She handed me the bowl of soup and it smelled like homemade cooking.

I really felt happy. It didn't matter what happened next. I just wanted this moment to last.

Just as I put the spoon full of creamy noodle broth to my lips, I heard a quiet raspy voice.

"But, the good times never seem to last, do they little boy?", she asked.

My world just stopped. Everything around me was tuned out as the temperature turned into the dreaded cold.
