I gripped the the bed frame as I awoke from a nightmare. I had become Emperor and the Lunars had planned an attack!
I quickly jumped out of bed and scurried into the dining hall. Suddenly I saw Cinder! I rushed outside to meet her!
"Cinder, Cinder!" She stopped and looked towards me. She flashed a bright smile.
"Oh, it's you Kai! How are you?" Cinder asked.
"We'll, I am fine... Cinder watched me shiver. Now, that I'm with you, that is! I mumbled quietly.
"Aww. That's sweet Kai really, but you should be getting-" suddenly I heard a scram and a servant rushed out.
"Kai! I mean Prince Kai." The servant yelled.
"What is it?"
"It's your father!" She once again yelled.
"Wha-What about him?"
"He has fallen ill with letimosis!"
