On the small island of patch the Xiao Long homestead sits. The small rustic home rests near a cliff face and is home to Tai and his daughter Yang, with it sometimes being the resistance of Qrow Branwen Yangs uncle. In the past it was the resistance of the twin of Qrow Raven the ex wife of Tai, Summer Rose who made Tai a widower under unknown circumstances, and Ruby Rose who mysterious vanished.
Inside the home the father and daughter are doing dishes when Yang glances at an old picture. The picture is of her missing sister, her father, uncle, and herself.
She wonders, what ever happened to her sister.

In a forest somewhere on the mainland a Decepticon soldier runs into a clearing and turns around to see if he lost what was chasing him. That's when a burst of rose petals appears and forms a human girl in red robotic armor blue flames the armor has a red hooded cape with white inside of it wrapped around it.
The human is holding a red scythe that she quickly transforms into a strange blaster with a sniper scope attached. With a pull of the trigger the Decepticons head is blasted in half and his lifeless husk falls to the ground.
The human lands softly on the ground and looks at a mountain in the distance while putting a finger on her ear.
"Ruby here, everything is clear on my end, what about yours?"
Then a giant blue explosion erupts from the mountain.
Then a male voice rings in her ear.
"Clear on this end."
The human responds with. "I can see that." She disconnects the comm link as a green portal appears.

In what is known as the Autobot base, a giant robot named Optimus is typing on a computer with the human from before on his shoulder watching him.
The human is Ruby Rose, or as she renamed herself, Ruby Pax or Prime, she uses it interchangeably. Her armor and weapon is based off of Optimus and his ion blaster.
Optimus isn't the only Autobot. There's Bumblebee the youngest and the scot, Bulkhead a brute of a bot that has a gentle side, Arcee a somewhat standoff-ish and sarcastic fembot, Cliffjumper he's basically the opposite of Arcee, and Ratchet an old medic that uses a gruff outside to hide the fact he genuinely cares for the team.
The others are putting away the energon they just stole from the Decepticons while Optimus logs the mission as a somewhat success. The mountain wasn't supposed to explode.
Ruby takes a drink of a blue drink she was as Optimus finshes the report.
"Fowler won't be happy."
"Definitely."
Optimus closes the tab and an online book store appears with two books on it.
"Two souls, one body." Ruby reads one of the titles and as she starts to read the next Optimus shuts down the computer, however Ruby caught the name of the book.
"Ninjas, huh."
"It was on sale with the other book as a package."
"Sure, Dad."
