I walk through the door. The Silence Is Nice, Especially when almost Every sound seems to be so much louder than normal. I walk Up the Stairs, Trying to Not have them Creak. I walk into My Room, and Notice that the Desk Next to my Bed Is Missing, along with the Destroyed alarm clock. “We need to talk.” My Mom says. “You know your dad Left 13 years ago, But I never told you why. Your Dad Wanted to wait till you were older so there wasn’t a chance of you accidentally telling the wrong People.” She Starts walking into her bedroom, and Has me follow. She lifts Up a FloorBoard, and Reveals Steel-Man’s Suit?? She hands me the suit, and Takes some Usb Stick and Plugs it into a Laptop. “Hey Nat, I Know You’re too Young to understand this right now. I’m recording this in the Event you get powers when You're older. You can do stuff Very few others can. Things Most can only dream of. I am One of the last Survivors from an alien species called Greatainians. We look Human, and are almost Identical, except when we reach about 15 human years, we gain powers such as Flight, Strength, Invulnerability, Heat-Vision, Super-Speed. You, Natalie, are part of the next generation of heroes." He Says. “You may be half Greatanian, but try to remember that you're also half human. Humans may not be perfect, but no being In the perceivable universe is. Remember, the people you love are worth fighting for. You can do anything you set your mind to, you'll be great at anything you choose to do with the powers, I believe in you. so fly high Firework, fly high," he says. The recording ends. I wipe the tears from my eyes and face. Before Hugging Mom. "How many powers did you get?" Mom asks. "So far? Strength, invulnerability, and speed." I say. It all makes sense now. Dad disappeared shortly after Steel-Man disappeared, and the Alliance Were killed. Mom picks up the shredded hoodie. "I see you already got into a fight." She says. "If you want to do the hero thing I won't… can't stop you. Teenagers are already bull headed and stubborn, but now you got the Bite to match the Bark." She says. "I'll try to get in contact with some friends of your dad. See if they can make a suit for you." She says. I continue to look at Dad's suit. It seemed a lot cooler as a kid, then again the images were probably edited too. It's missing the right boot and glove. The mask is Torn, and the cape is ripped. The suit was made to be tough enough to where even a normal person is bulletproof with it on, so whatever did this, must've been god-like in power. "Good news. I contacted the guy who made your dad's suit. He's said he'll make one for you." She said. "What if I don't want to be a Superhero? What if I'm bad at it?" I ask. "It's good to have a suit just in case. And you never know until you try.. your.. your Dad constantly worried, thought he had to be the perfect example for The rest of us to strive towards. But no one, not even him, could handle the weight of that burden. After a while, he had realized he doesn't have to be perfect, because if he was, then no one could truly live up to his example. He Just had to try to do good, and learn to be better." She says.
