I text Mia. “You still dropping by?” I text.
“Ya. Just making sure your Mom Knows About your powers right?” She asks.
“Ya, she Actually helped with my suit.” I text.
“K. C u soon.” She texted back. I hear a sound outside, and look out to see that Mia has crashed through the Fence.
"What the hell!?" My mom exclaims. I can quite literally hear her heart rate and breathing speed up from either Anger, Stress, Or both.
Right… she knows about my powers, but I forgot to let her know about Mia's
"How!? Nat gets her powers from her being part Greatanian. But both your parents are human! I've seen multiple instances of them being hurt by things that wouldn't even tickle Nat." Mom says.
"The meteor seemed to Almost kind of jump start my powers. My powers seemed to be dormant, but the meteor seemed to wake them up. Is it possible her parents are similar? Maybe they are Greatanian, but their powers never awakened, and Mia's did." I suggest.
"That's it! After school, I went to check out the meteor. I wanted to see it for myself. I remember touching it, and a bright blue glow, before passing out. I woke up to The Police and some kind of soldiers dragging me out of the crater, questioning me, letting me go, before blocking off the area." She says.
"Alright, Nat, try to help Mia with her powers, I'm going to see if I can contact any of your dad's friends. See if I can pull a few strings and maybe get a piece of the meteor. Or better yet, get You and Mia access to it. Your Dad did have some friends who have some pull in those types of things, he worked quite a bit with the government, so maybe one of his buddies can help.
"Wait, how many people know about dads private life? If they know your relation to him, I'd assume they knew dad's identity." I say.
"Only a select few were given that information. Back when heroes were decently common, it was decided that their identities were to be protected, a few people knew, but weren't supposed to tell anything unless said hero becomes a threat. Your Dad was one of the best heroes, criminals saw the red suit, the blue cape, and 9 times out of 10 surrendered. He believed that while humans may not be perfect, that we should be given the chance to improve. He believed by Saving, and helping people he could lead by example, and if he saved lives, the people he saved could have a chance at improving." She says.
"I'll also call Ethan again, see If he can make you a suit Mia." Mom says.
I try my best to help Mia, from the looks of it, she's able to get in the air, but control is hard for her. She also has to hold back a lot. If she Punches someone at full force, they would probably explode.
"OK, so with strength, you Need to Hold back, if not, you can very easily kill someone. Flying, at least for me, feels almost like an extension to your legs. It's kinda hard to explain. We'll work on controlled flying at a slower speed, reaction time is important especially at higher speeds. For me, my superspeed makes it where my reaction time, and Thinking speeds up with me. Meaning the faster I move, the slower I see everything, allowing me to make sharper turns, and not run into anyone." I say.
We start training, and she starts improving fast. An Explosion goes off, and Mia Hears it too. "Stay here. Continue training. I'll go check out the explosion and try to help out. Tell my mom I'm checking out an explosion. Be back soon." I say.
My suit forms, And I lift off.
