Chapter 13: Death and Destruction.

Mia looks over at me, before walking over.
"M..Mia?" I ask.
She hugs me.. and for a second I let my guard down..
A cold feeling goes through my stomach. I look down, blood soaks through my shirt, as she lets go of the knife..
A fire erupts from behind her, as the burnt bodies of her parents walk out in an Almost zombie-like way.
"You're no hero... you're a destroyer! you disgrace his symbol!" She says.
"M.. Mia.." I croak out.
"YOU RUINED THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE!" She yells.
She held my mom up by the throat.
"No.. please I'm sorry!" I say, pleading for her to stop.
"Save your Pathetic pleading! This is your fault!" She yells out. A loud snap, then my mom's body thuds against the floor.
"NOOOOAAAUGHOO! I'm sorry!" I scream out, sweat and tears running down my face as I jerk up from my bed. I float around the house, Vigilant, looking and making sure nothing is out of the ordinary. I check to make sure mom's ok. She still asleep. I suit up, and leave through my window.
I fly, both to try to clear my head, and hopefully find someone to punch..
I see an explosion, and dive down. Looks like I found someone.
I land, but no one's there. A Ripple of heat hits my back. I look back as soon as it stops, as Mia stares back at me.
Her long brown hair, now short, her suit is different too, now with purple accents.
"Hey firework.." she says.
I stand up, and get ready to fight...
"I'll give you 2 options.. The easy way, surrender, and I take you to them, so they can do as promised, or the hard way, I punch you in that pretty face of yours and drag you to them.. I'm giving you a choice because we used to be friends.. don't think I won't knock you out. For both our sakes I hope you choose the easy way." She says.
"Them?" I ask.
"Don't worry, It's a surprise." She says.
"So what, you caused an explosion to lure me out? Why? You know where I live, why not just go there, take me while I sleep?" I ask.
"Awwwe, but where's the fun in that? Besides, I don't want any more casualties, don't think your mom would survive a full fight between us." She says.
"Is that a threat?" I ask.
"More of a promise, I don't want to.. but I will if I need to." She says. In the blink of an eye she already closed the distance between us, grabbing both my wrists and pinning me to the wall. My face feels Hot, probably from anger.
"So.. Short, Bright and Pretty, what will it be?" She asks, her face inches from mine. The hopeful shin in her eyes is gone, replaced with an almost desperate look. Like she's pleading for me to understand why she's doing all this..
"Hey murderer!" Someone yells out. A Dark figure throws a Metal tube at Mia, before She gets kicked away. I Drop down, before turning to look at Whoever just threw that.
Someone in a black almost shiny almost slimey looking suit stands There. A wolf Like head.
"Hi, big fan, the name is Black-Wolf." He says.
Mia Floats above us.
Black-wolf Leaps up, a Blade forming from his arm.
He swings it at Mia, but she just grabs it, and throws him away.
She lands, and punches me in the stomach. I double over..
"I was already the stronger one... but now? God you're just pathetic.." she kicks me. Why is my body fighting against me! I know I should get up and fight back! But my Body won't move.
She Grabs some kind of needle from her belt, and Stabs it into my arm. That's impossible! That should've broken against me!
"Greatanian steel, A Gift from them.. one of the only materials capable of piercing through Greatanian flesh." She says. She injects whatever is in the needle. I finally get up, and punch her, but miss. Everything starts spinning... my legs are jelly.
Mia Pushes me back down.
"Awww, if I knew this would work that well I would've waited to use it... at least have a bit of fun first." She Grabs My chin, forcing my head up..
"Don't worry.. it won't kill you... they want you alive... and between you and me, if I wanted you dead, I would've fought you more, then used it." She says.
I try to push her away, but my arms won't move.. they feel like lead...
"Aww, that's adorable.. you think in your weakened state you can win?" She says. Come on fight it! I won't lose!
Black-Wolf runs at Mia, but she swats him away. He knocks against the pole, as the wires snap. I can feel the electricity? Like I can sense its presence.. the Energy flowing..
The wire falls nearby, as Mia walks over to Black-Wolf.
She Grabs him by the throat and starts squeezing.
I can feel the energy, it's almost calling out to me!
I grab the wire, as the electricity Flows from the wire, to around my body, and then dissipates.
My vision Stops blurring, as my arms feel stronger! I stand Back up.
"Mia! We're not done yet!" I Yell out. She looks back, dropping Black-Wolf.
I grab the needle, and pull it from my arm, throwing it to the side. Damn! It punctured the suit too!
My suit fixes itself, as I rocket into her.
She hits the wall, her back cracking the stone.
"Stop fighting me! Please for mine, your, and your Moms sake." She says, emphasizing my mom.
"I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU HURT A HAIR ON HER HEAD I'LL.." I say.
"Oh... oh no, I'm not the one you need to worry about... just... you might wanna go home.." she says. SHE TOLD THEM WHERE I LIVE!?
I punch her, sending her back 30 feet.
"YOU PUT HER IN DANGER! YOU TOLD THEM WHERE WE LIVE!" I Yell out.
"I WASN'T THE ONE WHO IGNORED WARNING AND MADE ENEMIES!" She responds, wiping blood from her Lip..
I was going easy... hoping that maybe she wouldn't go too far... maybe she was better than I thought...
But no! If words won't convince her..
"You know what... You think I'm the reason your parents died.. that if I had killed him they would still be here... BUT YOU WERE RIGHT THERE WHEN IT EXPLODED! YOU COULD'VE SAVED THEM! You want to blame me! But You were the one who should've... could've done something!" I say.
"Shut up!" She launches into me, but I stand my ground, grabbing her leg, and throwing her on the ground.
"You want to know something? You may have been stronger... but now.. now I'm the better one..." I say, taunting.
"I HATE YOU! YOU... YOU SHOULD'VE.." she tries to say, before pausing.. her eyes water, looking like she's going to cry.
she betrayed me...
"Stay down... before you make me force you to.." I say.. she stays down.
"This planet won't survive if you fight them!" She says..
I lift off, heading for my house. A Boom sound falls behind me as I push for speed. Can't let mom die because I was too slow!
I crash into the yard, not being able to slow down enough for a proper landing.
The lights are still off, nothing seems too out of place... if you ignore the man floating above the roof.
"Hello half breed!" He yells out.
"Let her go!" I Yell out.. God damn my poor choice of wording! It's like Supervillain 101, if someone says to let go, that the proper response is to drop the hostage.... If you're a Super-Villain anyway.
"As you wish." He drops her. She falls, as I take off. I slow down at catch her, so I don't slam against her. If I catch her while flying too fast I could kill her. Kinda like when a drunk person throws a bottle in the air before shooting it. Except mom would be the bottle and I'd be the bullet. I caught her, and Put her down. A black, armored fist streaks across my face, as I shoot through my house..
"So? What do I call you? Captain suckerpunch? Evil-man?" I ask, Jokingly.
"I am The Greatanian leader, Bootasku. You defeated one of the better Greatanian warriors, which makes you a threat we need to kill before you get too powerful." He says.
"What, scared?" I ask.
"The Greatanian Army is the strongest army in the universe.. you'd only slow us down.. you're more of an inconvenience.. an annoying one, but still only an inconvenience" He says.
"Well if you're this big bad Leader, why are you trying to kill me? Why not send another soldier?" I ask.
"You haven't seen me try to kill you yet.. and I wanted to talk first.. you are Half Greatanian after all... and despite being half Human, you have great potential. Join us, and we will spare your life." He offers.
"You can help us bring Greatanian rule to the universe! And maybe... if you are important enough... get your own planet to rule." He adds. Rule!? What?
"So you want to rule the universe?" I ask.
"To put it simple yes." He says.
"And what if the inhabitants resist? What if they fight your rule?" I ask.
"Then they will perish." He says.
"So? What is your decision Hybrid?" He asks.
"Ya so uhh I'm going to have to say no.. I have this thing against tyrants who kill those who resist their rule." I say.
"You have chosen death." He says. He punches me, sending me 50 feet back. I can feel My ribs crack against his punch.
He seemingly appears behind me, and slams me against the ground, shaking and cracking the stone..
"Know what.. I'll wait to kill you... I'll make sure you suffer first.. I'll make you watch the destruction of your world.. before finally putting you out of your misery.." he says..
Mia lands..
He Grabs My arms, Crushing them..
"Auuuuuughhhh!" I scream out, my bones shatter..
He kicks me, as I roll on the ground..
Mia looks away, but I see her eyes water before..
"Pl.. please.. Mia..." I say..
He rips my cape off, before putting it on..
"Don't want to destroy a perfectly good trophy." He says.
My mom hits him with a brick.
"Pathetic insect!" His fist pierces through her, her blood covering his hand.
"Noooooaauuuu!" I scream..
Mia looks away..
He uses his heat-vision. I scream out, his heat-vision fries my suit.
"Alright! We're wasting time! Let's get her to the ship, you can Finish the job there. Besides, you still have your half of the deal to hold up." She says.
"I... You..." I can't even say anything..
"Right.. well about that.. even if I had the technology to bring your parents back.. they wouldn't be able to survive in space, or the destruction of the planet." He says.
"You... lied?" She says.
"It's part of what I do. Now, let's go, you promised your loyalty to the Greatanian Army, if you break that there will be consequences." He says.
