Bela frowned at her disinterest in the session- "I don't know. Please enlighten me."
Meher- "So that I don't have to ensure this torture a minute longer than required. You already lost 2 minutes, btw."
Family or not, she won't let her get the upper hand. She'll herself get rid of these stupid sessions!
Bela- "You are such an ideal patient, Ms. Raichand."
Meher sarcastically- "Why thank you, Dr. Sharma."
Bela took out her phone and set the required timer.
Meher- "57 minutes."
Bela- "Seems like ki tum bohot confident ho ki tu
tab tak mujhse baate karogi jab tak yeh timer na band ho jay."Meher gave her a whatever look. Bela gave her a charming smile. She might actually all grown up and pompous but she was a child after all. And from what she witnessed a few moments back, a cute and innocent one.
Bela- "So how's school?"
Meher- "Aapse matlab? Point pe aaye please."
Bela firmly- "Yaha counsellor Mai hu. Please mujhe decide karne do ki kya point ki baat hai aur kya nahi."
Her tone made Meher sit up straight. So she wasn't all smiles and banters, then. That tone commanded respect! But she didn't answer her question on principle.
Bela continued- "I don't think your brother will appreciate the fact that through this 58 minutes session, you weren't even able to answer one question."
Meher scoofed- "Of course. You'll snitch on me."
Bela- "Haww! Snitches get stitches,Meher. I don't want stitches. Woh toh Arjun Bhai ne hi mujhe pehle kuch session ke reports dene ko kaha hai."
Meher thought for a while. Her bhaiya won't exactly appreciate this....
Meher shortly- "Good."
Bela bit her smile- "Was that a compliment?"
Meher- "School. School is good."
Bela nodded- "What about me?"
She gagged intentionally making Bela laugh out loud. The girl had a quite a sense of humor.
Bela- "So do you have friends?"
Meher nodded.
Bela- "What sort of stupid question was that na? School me toh sabke friends hote hai."
Meher rolled her eyes. Privileged, delusional brats!
"Unke hote hai jinke naam ke peeche ek surname hota hai."Her words tugged at Bela's heartstrings. The flash of pain in je reyes did not go unnoticed by her.
Bela- "Surname aur friendship ka kya lena dena?"
Meher smirked- "Surname bohot important hota hai. Har ek relation me. Especially for selfish people because according to them, no surname means no advantage....in fact mai yaha pe isliye baithi hu because I am a Raichand. Agar mere paas yeh surname nahi hota toh shayad hi aap mujhme itna interest le Rahi hoti..."
Bela looked at her, disturbed. Such cruel words at such a tender age. The girl had catched upon the cruelties of the selfish world a bit too soon.
Bela cleared her throat- "So you think ki tumahare saare friends sirf tumhare surname ki wajah se tumhare saath hai?"
