Just fyi this chapter switches between characters and their settings. I'll be doing that a little more.

Kylie was cleaning her room, with music blasting in her earbuds.

Hey, shorty.

She looked up suddenly and noticed Neuro standing there. She quickly took out her earbuds.

"Oh, hi! I didn't see you there."

"I can tell," he said, laughing softly, putting a hand on her shoulder. "So... not to pry, but... music that loud is never a good sign, and I feel like you're not the kind of person to just do that every day..."

"I'm not," Kylie said with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry. I know you're having a... more than a hard time. I can't imagine."

"That's okay. What's up?"

"Just checking in. I mean, you've been in here for a while."

She let out a melancholy sigh. "Yeah."

"I'm guessing you're not hungry?"

"No," she frowned.

"Well I'll leave you to it then, if you don't need anything? Or just company?"

"You could stick around if you want," she smiled. "As long as you're not too bored."

"Of course not! You're too fun to be around."

"Thanks, but I might not be much fun right now." She looked at him apologetically, exhausted.

"It's okay. You can be however you feel like."

She nodded.

"You're an amazing girl, Kylie," he said, sitting on a chair.

"Thanks." She gave him a timid, grateful smile.

"Hi, Nya," Jay said, knocking on the doorframe of the computer room where she was working.

"Hi," she said, only looking up from what she was typing for a second.

He came and stood next to where she was sitting. "Whatcha working on?"

"Just brainstorming some updates for my samurai gear. What's up?"

"Uh, not much. I mean I was wondering... What happened with Kylie?"

"Like... what specifically?"

"Her powers."

"Oh," Nya exhaled. "Welllllllll, what about them?"

"How she found them? No one told me."

"Oh, it was just a minor incident."

"Then tell me!"

"She... Cole got a little hurt and she healed him."

"Hurt like what?" Jay paled.

"It wasn't even that bad," Nya's voice cracked.

Jay grabbed her by the shoulders. "What happened to Cole?"

"It's okay because he's perfectly fine now."

"Why is no one telling me?" Jay exclaimed. "Am I the only one that doesn't know?"

Nya shrugged. "Maybe you should just go ask him," she suggested softly.
