a feeling

Hiii~ just wanted to give you a heads up that not everything will be totally accurate for the sake of the story😁

It was his last performance.

Jungkook just finished his final song and they crowd went crazy. He raised his eyes and saw purple light sticks in the distance and a multidude of people screaming his name. It was unreal.

To think he and his members had made it this far was inconceivable. He should be beyond grateful, and he was! but for a moment, a single second, he felt a tinge of something aching inside. A pit of sadness dropped in his stomach. A stinge of loneliness.

How?, he thought standing in the in front of thousands, look at all these people who love me, who came just for me!

He couldn't sleep that night. His body was exhausted but his mind couldn't shake that feeling he felt on stage earlier that day.

It felt unfair.

He had six members who he knew truly cared about him, and millions of fans. This "loneliness", this sadness, is undeserved, no one would understand it. No one but one person, Namjoon, he understood everything.

The next day, he went to namjoon's place and the two spent the entire day theorizing where these emotions could possibly come from.

"maybe it's time you get a girlfriend..." the older said cautiously. Jungkook was taken aback, a girlfriend? All these feelings will magically go away by...dating?

He and his members have said many ridiculous things throughout all their years together, romance being a common topic. However, this time there wasn't an once of funniness or jokery on that man's face. He was serious.

A loud quiet passed through them. Namjoon was the first one to break it.

"I mean," he took a swig of the brown liquid before him, "most guys your age have been in some sort of relationship, typically something a little more serious." His eyes were fixed on his cup, gently stiring the ice.

"Listen Kook, all I'm saying is that there's something your probably missing. You have us, and you have your fans, but we aren't able to fill everything for you. If you are feeling lonely, your gonna have to find another source to fill it, something you don't already have."He glanced at him with a look saying, you know I'm right.

Jungkook's eyes were wide open with shock.

He left that night with namjoon's advice weighing on him mind.

Truthfully, he had a quiet fear of being in a romantic relationship with anyone. He knew how his fans would take it if- no when, they found out. He remembered clearly how they acted over simple rumors. Imagine what would happen if they found out he was actually with someone. Imagine the stalkers! He was used to them, but he couldn't allow that to happen to someone he loved.

Yes. It was just easier to stay single, the risk wasn't worth it.

But what if Namjoon was right, what if the cause for this feeling was the fact that someone, somewhere, was calling out his name, and his soul was responding.
