Run.. . .That's all Ki could think in this moment.. . .Bushes flew past her, and trees parted ways to let her through as she dashed carelessly through them. Her hand was tightly holding her upper arm in pain. Pupils shook uncontrollably as she kept on running. Faint out of breath sounds could be heard. She could barely muster up any energy to keep on running, but she did, for her own sake and life. Ki already felt exhausted from the battle she just had, but this was too much. The villain she fought had cut a deep wound into her upper arm that made a hole. You can look through it back to front, and see the scenery around. It was deep, and if she didn't stop running, she probably wouldn't be able to survive. Ki had to find a saviour soon, or else. All that she has ever done will be lost. All her progress, all her training and the power she wields.'You can keep on running, but don't forget, Ki. You haven't won just yet. I'll find you, and when I do, I'll make sure to finish what I started.' An echoed voice came from behind, followed by a loud chaotic laugh before everything went dead quiet. That didn't stop her from running. Blood started to come from the ends of her camouflaged mouth, dripping down off of her chin.I should've never been stupid, I should've acted accordingly. Now I've got myself into a real pickle, haven't I? Silly old me, what was I thinking? Going after some stupid old mouse who thinks he's tough shit. I should've paid attention to what was really important.Ki thought to herself, guilty and full of regret as always. Though, even these thoughts werent as loud as the upcoming new terrifying sound she started to hear.Chomping. . .Slicing. . .SlashSlashSlash. . .Ki jumped out of the bush, and stopped herself from running. She was out of breath, and needed to stop for a moment. The villain had probably stopped chasing her by now, so it was probably better to have a short break. But, of course, it had to be ruined. Ki smelt an awful, disgusting rotting decaying smell coming from her left. Ki breathed heavily, the breathing becoming more slightly audible as it continued on. She turned her head slowly to the left. The sight she saw was an uncommon one.. . .A body lay dead on the grass, still bleeding out. The grass around it had turned a deep red colour, and flies were buzzing around it. A knife had been roughly and aggressively slammed into the poor persons stomach, and it looked like it was cut open. The sound of flies was overwhelming, and so was the stench that just got worse and worse as she smelt it. The poor person, who was once alive, looked like they had just been killed. They still had a bit of colour in them, but not much. They weren't breathing.Ki took her hand away from her wound, blood spilling from it straight away as she breathed heavily in horror. She looked up to see an older man with his fingers by his mouth, licking some blood off his nails. The man looked about in his 40's to 30's and he had brown short hair and rose coloured eyes that stared at her with a confused, curious look. The man wore a red vest overtop a white shirt and black baggy trousers. His shoes were pointed and covered in blood, and so were the rest of his clothes. For a moment, Ki and the unknown man stared at each other for a while. The man lowered his arms and hands beside his side.Ki looked deep into his eyes, her pupils shaking.'Oh Ki, Wherever you are, you better come out before I rip your heart out while your still ALIVE!' The voice was heard again and it caught Ki's attention. Ki looked back from when she came running, then back at the man who was wide eyed too. Ki hesitated to run, but then began running again, fleeing where the man was standing. The guy was left in shock and confusion of what he just saw. Some weird, creepy tall monster...and some yelling from some random person who could also be a monster just like they were.Ki continued to run, holding her wound again, and felt herself becoming quite dizzy. Shit. More blood came from between her fingers as she tried to apply pressure. But, she was too late. She couldn't stop herself anymore. Ki felt herself falling, and her vision went blurry. She couldn't stop herself and she passed out, laying helplessly on the cold, wet (possibly muddy) grass.
