"But its the Fourth of July!" I exclaimed.
"Reggie, remember we are in London." Sage said. "They don't celebrate that." I frowned.
A full month had gone by since Ed came back. Since then, I had gone to a lot of his shows, as well as spent evenings with him watching Shrek and various other movies. Now, it was July fourth, Independence Day. And I was arguing with Sage about it.
"But its the Fourth of July!" I whinned. "We have to celebrate!" Sage was starting to get frustrated.
"Reggie, we cannot celebrate it here!" Sage snapped. I pouted. I was not going to win this.
"Okay..." I said, walking away. This is my favorite part of the summer... And now I won't even get it...
"God you're a crybaby." Craig said as I walked past his room. He and I started talking again after Ed came back from Farmlingham. He apologized. Which was a good thing.
"I'm the crybaby?" I asked. "You're the one complaining about wanting to be paid more for working less." Craig was sitting in front of his computer, as usual, playing some game. He paused it and crossed his arms.
"Okay you have a point." He said. He paused. "Uh... Reggie?' He said. I widened my eyes slightly, as if to say "what?" Craig gulped. "Do you wanna go to pub with me tonight?"
"Did you just ask me out?" I said jokingly. Craig narrowed his eyes.
"No, its not like that. I need your help. There's this barmaid at my favorite pub. Her name is Rosie." Craig explained. "I want to ask her out. But I'm not sure how..." Craig's facial expression completely changed. Oh my god he is serious!
"Okay." I said. "How can I help?"
~time lapse~
"Okay, who is she?" I asked Craig as we walked into his favorite pub around 10:00p.m. Craig looked around.
"Oh no." He muttered. "She isn't..." He continued to look around, then he sighed, sounding relieved. "Oh thank God!" He said, pointing. "She's over there."
I looked to where he was pointing and saw her. She had long and huge curly red hair. It was ginger, like Ed's. It was a dark, dark red. Almost as if it were dyed. Not only that, but she was taller than me, though slightly shorter than Craig.
"Holy bollocks!" I exclaimed. Craig nodded.
"She is so beautiful, Reggie..." He whispered. I grabbed his arm and turned his attention towards me.
"What's her name?" I asked. Craig's eyes widened.
"Her... Name?" He looked so confused. I smacked myself in the face. You've gotta be pulling my leg!
"Are you serious? You don't even know the bint's name?" I asked. Craig looked down at his feet, clearly ashamed. I sighed. "Okay. Come on." I turned around and dragged Craig over to the bar.
"No, no, no! What are you doing!?" He exclaimed, trying to stop. I ignored him and threw him onto a seat. He grunted and I sat down next to him. The girl came over to us.
"Good evening to ya." She said, with a thick Irish accent, a lot thicker than David's. "What'll it be?" I glanced at Craig. He was staring at her, blushing.
"I'll be just having a shot of ale. I'm not a big drinker." I said. The girl nodded and looked at Craig.
"And you?" She asked. Craig was sweating now. Wow, he is falling are over elbow for this girl!
"Ma'am, I need to interject." I stated. She glanced at me. "My brother, Craig, has been admiring you from afar and does not seem to have the slightest bit of courage to speak to you." I tried my best to sound serious and adult-like. The girl raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, really?" She asked, looking over at Craig. "Am I really that fit'?" Craig blushed and nodded slowly. "Oh lad, you are cute!" The girl exclaimed.
"My name is Reggie. This is Craig." I said. The girl smiled.
"I'm Hannah." The girl said. She smiled at me, then looked at Craig. "Well, don't just sit there and cock up, ya nutter!" She said. Craig sat up straight and took a deep breath.
"Would you fancy having tea with me?" He asked, nervously. I smiled and Hannah giggled.
"At least you're polite about it. I'd sat that's jolly good!" Hannah replied. Craig looked at me with wide eyes.
"Reggie she said yes!!!" He exclaimed.
"I know!" I replied. "Now can I go home?" Craig nodded and I sat back and watched them talk.
Eventually, I got up and wandered over to an empty table. I took out my phone and proceeded to text Ed.
ME: Hi
Ed responded a minute later.
ED: Hey love. I was wondering if you wanted to have tea with me tomorrow.
I found myself smiling at my phone.
ME: Sounds awesome!
ED: I was hoping you wouldn't be busy with that.
ME: What are you on about?I sat there for a few more minutes and realized Ed wasn't going to reply. I sighed and looked up from my phone. There weren't many people in the pub now. In fact, Craig and Hannah were no where in sight. The fuck?
I stood up and walked around the pub, asking people if they had seen either of them. One of the barmen told me they had left awhile ago. Just my luck. I walked out of the pub.
The air outside was cold. Really cold. I looked at the time on my phone. 12:30? Were we really there for that long? I looked up and down the street, trying to remember which way we had come from. But I couldn't. Shit!
I started walking down the street, which seemed slanted slightly as if it was a hill. There were surprisingly no cars on the road. It was strange.
After a few minutes of walking, I started to shiver. Blimey! Its so bloody cold! Isn't it supposed to be summer!? I rubbed my arms and continued to shiver. Goddamnit I mean seriously!
My phone buzzed and I looked down at it. As I did, I slipped on something. Then I fell, hitting my head on the ground. Everything went black.
Hey guys! That was chapter twelve! Craig is smitten over an Irish girl!?!? Cute isn't it? And she likes him too! Anyways, vote, comment, and follow if you want!
