Thirty minutes later I am sitting in Zains living room with a beer in my hand, we are watching a movie called the Devil Inside, my favorite movie.
Zain is still pissed off at my parents for kicking me out, gosh I was only turning seventeen next month, I still had a year till I was eighteen.
I sighed and wondered how long I would be able to stay here.
--
I woke up that morning with a major hangover, I felt cold and saw I didn't have any clothes on letting me know what happened last night.
I got dressed and headed downstairs turning off the television and entering the kitchen.
By the time I'm finished with breakfast Zain is coming down the stairs freshly showered. He looks at me like I'm crazy.
"What is this?" he asks, I look at my array of toast, bacon and scrambled eggs.
"Breakfast," I mutter. He takes a bite out of the toast and spits it out.
"You call this toast?!" He exclaimed.
"Whatever," he said before I could answer. "I don't eat breakfast anyway, I'm going to practice. You coming?" Again, before I can respond he says, "Oops too late." and walks out the door throwing the rest of his toast over his shoulder as he walks out.I'm used to his behavior so it doesn't bother me. I leave the mess and slouch on the couch looking for something to watch.
Ten minutes later I realize there's never anything on on Saturdays, I head into the shower.
Since girl shampoo never stays long I raid Zains cabinets for some axe. I love male products. They smell great and their strong.
I decided I'll need to go shopping if I'm gonna be staying here. Zain may be twenty two years old. But he is not the brightest crayon in the box.
When I get to the Cole's house (he's the bands practice area) they are at the table having lunch which consists of beer and chips. I grab a beer and plop myself down at the table.
"Hey gorgeous," Cole says. He's always had a thing for me, and we slept together a lot and had been seeing each other, but nobody knows.
Zain and Cole are total opposites. Zain is a dark brunette with equally dark eyes. He has a dark sense of humor and is prone to fighting. He was what typical cliche high schoolers would call a "bad boy."
My taste ran constant, Cole was also a brunette, except for Cole was more light hearted and loved goofing around.
"So, how's the new song coming along?" I ask.
"Fine." Zain spits out. I can tell they had been fighting. Trying to break the tension, I ask if we're still going clubbing later. They all agree.
This could be nice, no curfew or wondering if my parents will find out that I'm clubbing. Now that I'm thinking of them I wonder if they miss me.
:::
Donna's POV*I an sitting watching TV when I realize its quiet in the house.
Too quiet.
"Isabella!" I yell, before realizing that shes gone.
I step into her room, it seems so empty now. I didn't want to kick her out but she has to learn. I just hope I did the right thing. I look at the clock, it's 9 pm, I wonder what she's doing.
:::
Isabella's POV*Applause fills the air as I end the note. Zain let me sing with the band today and it felt great. I loved to sing. I used to sing in the choir at church untill my life changed and realized I those people all were crazy.
As I step down from the stage I feel vibrating in my bra and take out my phone, Mom, it says. I groan, she always chooses the worst time to call me.
Squeezing my way through the crowd on the dance floor I slip into the bathroom.
"Hello?"I say trying my best not to slur my words.
"Hey Isabella, what are you doing?" She asks.
"Oh, just using the bathroom."At least it wasn't a lie.
"Where are you staying?"
"Mom, you know exactly where I'm staying. Now if you dont mind, not that I care if you do since you kicked me out, I'm very busy so bye." I hang up before she can say anything else.
When I get out the bathroom, Cole is waiting for me. I follow him to his car without giving Zain a second thought.
-------
For the second day in a row I wake up half dressed, Cole is already awake so I go take a shower. When I come out I here yelling downstairs. I know that voice. Zain.
I rush down just as he throws the first punch.
"Zain! Stop!" I step in, I've had my share of fights so I wasnt afraid at all. They stopped when they saw me there but kept glaring at each other. I tried to see through the pounding in my head. Gosh I hated being hungover.
When he catches his breath, Zain lookes at me, he lookes at me as if I'm a different person, before I can decipher the look on his face he stalks out saying he's out of the band.
I look at Cole, he does not look happy.
"Thanks alot," he says, "now get out."
I gape at him.
"NOW!"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "I don't have to deal with this bull. I'll get out, I don't need you. There's plenty of guys out there that want me." I flicked him off walking to the door. "Don't miss me too much."
What I said to Cole was a lie. The band was all I had.
Tears fall from my face for the second time that week.
I look around. Nobody is out yet. I have no place to go and I'm alone.
