Dear Ocean,
I gaze at your distant beauty,
Believing the calm facade you wear,
Based off the one I once wore,
The idea of you entices me
Your warmth enveloped me like a hug,
Then crashed and moved me around,
To your rhythm and your liking.
After what felt like a lifetime of joyous waves and nearly drowning,
I am free once again,
Watching silently as history repeats itself.
