As the doctor told me about the results, “Mr. Larios I have the results in my hand over here and you are perfectly fine! Your skull isn’t broken and there is little to no trauma to your brain. You still need some physical and individual therapy so we might hold you back for a week. If you’re fortunate, maybe even 2-3 days. I will assign you some medications later, but the medicine you really need is rest and exercise.”
I sighed with relief.
As the nurse pushed the wheelchair to bring me back from my room, my friends asked, “How is your results?”
I got a funny idea by doing a sad expression and saying, “Bad...”
It made them nervous and asked, “What happened?” with an uneasy tone.
Exactly right after them saying what happened, I immediately said, “Kidding!” and made them mad…
I know I’m a silly person. I have been doing this stuff since I was a first-year student. I tried to be funny y’know!
“That isn’t funny, Gael.” Ahkirro said with a worried tone.
I said, “I’m sorry! I thought you both are going to laugh you know!”
“Haha.” Grena said with a sarcastic tone.
Oh my god! They cannot take a single joke! They're such killjoys!
It was 9:30 p.m., we were all going to sleep. I closed my eyes and thought long.
‘If the police weren’t there in time what would happen to me?’
‘What if she comes in my room and kidnap me again?’
I should stop overthinking and go to sleep.
I mean what else could go wrong right?
I positioned myself to become more comfortable and went to sleep.
When I woke up, I was tied up again, the room I was in was familiar. It was the room I was in when Adria kidnapped me!
I struggled trying to wiggle my way out of the bindings. But then I got hit in the head with a bat!
I was terrified of what I’ve dreamt of and woke up immediately and told them, “Guys! I’ve dreamt about Adria hitting me with a bat and.... I bled so badly! And... and...”
I started breathing heavily, composing myself.
I was panicking, I don’t want to remember what happened to me...
“That’s only a dream. Plus, don’t think about her! We’re in a safe place Gael.” Grena comforted me.
“Yeah Gael. It’s ok, go to sleep now. You need some rest.” Ahkirro soothed me.
I sighed, relaxing myself from my trauma. I said to myself, “I should stop thinking about her...”
During the past 5 days, I’ve been doing physical therapy and have been doing well since then. I have been drinking the medication that my doctor had prescribed me, and I have not felt better.
After I came out from the hospital, I started to feel a lot better.
“Thank you, Aki and Grena.” I smiled at them and hugged them both. Tears fell out while I was smiling. I guess, I was crying tears of joy.
