8 months after Adria was arrested, things have changed ever since. The new headmistress gave us a break for a while and do our studies at the comfort of our own homes. She also added that we should rest well because we, the detectives, worked for a whole month just to arrest the girl. While for Mrs. Dela Cruz, she retired to prioritize her health.

But in two weeks, we’re going to graduate!!! Me and my friends are going to be senior high students! I’m so excited to experience the senior high life!!!

1:43 p.m.

I sent a message to our group chat saying, “I feel so relieved.”

“Yeah! We’re going to be seniors! Aren’t you excited Grena?”  Ahkirro said mentioning her name at our group chat.

Yet, Grena hasn’t been looking at our chat’s since yesterday. Maybe she was focusing on her studies at the moment.

“Grena hasn’t been chatting for an entire day! I’m worried about her!” Alliyah sent the message mentioning her name just like Ahkirro did.

“Maybe she is focusing on her studies. Study is important to her ever since.” I replied and sent another message saying, “Plus, it’s only a day since she hasn’t sent a message. What are you two worrying about?”

“You’re so nonchalant Gael!” She replied to my message.

“I’m affectionate. I don’t have the right mood to chat like the both of you.”

“Okay, sir nonchalant!!” teasing me.

I am in no mood to fight with her, so I let her be for now.

As time passed by, I’ve been losing feelings for Grena, and I haven’t told it to anyone yet. I’m more on being a secretive person rather than being too noisy on what’s happening on my life.

In our group chat, again.

“Gael, who’s your crush? You haven’t told us for like almost the school year!” Ahkirro asked.

I replied, “No one at the moment. Why?” asking Ahkirro why he asked me with “that” question.

“Haven’t you told us you have a crush while you are recovering about what Adria did?” Ahkirro replied and asked once again.

“Oh, that? Haha. I’m not telling you.” I responded, making him very curious.

“You’re so secretive Gael. OH wait! Private message me rn!”  Ahkirro replied.

I quickly messaged Ahkirro privately, asking, “What is it?”

Ahkirro saw my message immediately saying, “Grena likes you.”

My jaw dropped. Still, I lose interest at her and replied, “I don’t like her anymore.”

“ANYMORE?? WDYM (what do you mean?)”  Ahkirro asked.

“I liked her back then.” I replied.

“So, you’re telling me that you don’t like her anymore?” Ahkirro replied.

“Yea.” I responded.

“How and why did you even like her? For what reason?” Akhirro asked

I thought for a little before responding to Akhirro’s question, “I used to like her for the reasons that she was my friend since we we’re kids till now, and that she continued to stay by my side even after all this time, through ups and down and that she cares for me and till now she’s still a friend very close to me, and I appreciate her for that.” I replied to him.

“Wow, so you really did use to have a crush on her, alas when she finally likes you, you’ve already lost your feelings for her” Akhirro continues to message me.

“That's beside the point, I used to like her but not anymore, even so she’s still my best friend and I will still appreciate her and treat her the same way I treat her as I would to a best friend.” I texted.

“Well since you liked her before, you still have some feelings left for her, don’t you?” Ahkirro teased me.

I fell silent for a while thinking about what Ahkirro said.

“OMG. DO YOU LIKE HER?” It was paired with the amount of heart emoji’s Ahkirro had sent.

“WHAT... NO, I DON’T LIKE HER! STOP ASSUMING.” I tried to tell him.

“No need to get angry, chill bro.”  Ahkirro tried to calm me down.

As I turned off my phone, I took a deep breath then played calming music to cool me down. Not only in chats, but in my studies for it.

“I should start studying.” I spoke.

I often do my routine this school year. Chat with friends, take a deep breath and start studying. I’m an academic achiever since I started from kindergarten until now. I need to maintain my grades for a better future for my life. That’s my mentality for school.

“School works again.” I complained while talking to myself and continued to answer each and every question our teacher had given.

While I was doing my schoolwork, my phone rang with a new notification. Oh, my goodness! Interrupting while I’m doing my schoolwork?

I saw a notification from our new principal saying on our grade 10 group chat, “Good afternoon. Face to face is back tomorrow.”

I heart-reacted to her message. I immediately talked to myself and said, “Finally! I’ve been waiting for exact two weeks.” While I finish my work.

I sent a message to the group chat saying, “We’re going to see again!!” I was so happy.

“Yea, I miss you guys so much!” Ahkirro replied.

“Can’t wait! HAHA!” Alliyah said.

“And! This is our last schoolwork and we’re going to practice our awaited graduation!!” Alliyah sent another message.

“Yes!” I replied.

“I’m joyful! Adria and Angelo are caught by the polices! We don’t have to worry about them anymore! And we’re going to be seniors! Thank God!” Ahkirro said.

“YEA THAT’S MY POINT!” I spoke.

“HAHA!” Alliyah laughed sarcastically in text.

We mentioned Grena’s username once again if she’d ever text again one last time.

“Oh?” She replied after mentioning her username.

We greeted her with a warm welcome back to her as she wasn’t chatting for the entire day.

“What? I was offline for a day because I was busy. What happened? I’ve heard we’re going back to school tomorrow?”

She asked.

“Well, yea. We’re going to practice our graduation!!” Alliyah replied.

“YEP!” Ahkirro replied.

“SEE YOU SOON!” I said and turned off my phone.

I laughed while being happy and excited. Finally! HAHA.
