While Diablo agreed to go back, he knew he needed to train to be ready for anything his father or brother would throw at him. Delilah helped by teaching him the way to focus and read the opponent's intentions quicker then they could perform it. She taught him a lot of things during their short training time. Much better than Erebus could ever. Delilah went missing from Angelski for long periods of time just to help Diablo prepare him. After 3 and a half weeks of training, Diablo needed to go face his family once again. He wasn't perfect at his new techniques and tricks but he knew them well enough to know he could rely on them when he needed to. Delilah's teachings even helped him gain better control of his Hellhound form while Delilah was away during the daytime. With that and a hooded cloak, the very next night he set off to the Infernastone castle but not without reluctantly letting Delilah follow behind also with a hooded cloak and dark clothes to hide her fur. She was downright terrified of what lies in the pits of the enemies territory and Diablo knew it but she refused to leave his side. As she said before they left "We've been through a lot thus far. It wouldn't be right to leave you to face this burden on your own. I'm not leaving you." It was definitely not easy for an outlaw and an enemy of hell to move through the deadly terrain but after some near misses and almost getting killed...many times the two made it to the gates of the palace. It was strange how no knights were awaiting at the gates or watchtowers. Or the gardens leading up to the front doors.. Or the front doors that led to the throne room... It was all too quiet but as soon as Diablo was about to let his guard down a fireball flew right past his hood and to the ground next to him. Along with a "The coward lives and dares to return here in shame I see!" Xalgo clearly hadn't let things go at all even after how long it's been since they fought. The two circled around each other as they each told what the other missed. The more they talked, the more intense their battle became. Xalgo's anger was much more obvious and burned bright while Diablo looked more level headed and focused despite his anger. The louder they got, the more the guards noticed, the more the Queen noticed. Once Carlotta heard of Diablo returning home she left the bedroom she spent weeks in, just sitting in her own solitude and came in to see Diablo land a swift and hard uppercut. Delilah had been on the sidelines watching the entire time, too afraid to help or do anything but watch. After 2 hours of fighting and a lot of collateral damage later including a burning throne and a massive hole in the side wall, the two stood before each other doing nothing but panting and glaring. Each had used their maximum strength, Xalgo his firebending mastery and Diablo his controlled Hellhound form. Xalgo kept trying to fight and bend but Diablo used the exhaustion to his advantage by easily hitting weak points where he couldn't before, brining the beast down to his knees. Diablo thought he'd had enough and instead of killing him, walked off back to Delilah after telling him of his dishonor. Delilah smiled but then she noticed Xalgo was on the brink of losing to his own Hellhound form. Trying to get a closer look as to what was happening her hood came down a little, revealing her white fur. As soon as Xalgo saw he lost it and just as Xalgo was about to charge after her Diablo heard his war cry and pounced, pinned him down and bit down on where Xalgo had stabbed him...and yanked back, gutting him completely. Delilah gagged and passed out while everyone else either gasped or screamed in horror. Carlotta...stayed silent...but told one of the guard to discard the barely breathing body.
