Kieara's POV

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIEARAAAA..." they all sang in chorus. I was so relieved that it was them and not Mr. Skeleton wishing me.

I saw my 4 best friends, my parents, and a few more kids from my classes, and I even saw Alex to my surprise standing right there.

Let me tell you that Alex is on my Top 5 Hotties-From-School List.

He is so damn hot. His smile can mesmerize anyone who looks at him. His eyes are so extraordinary a unique shade of green with a mixture of indigo. I can keep staring at them for hours and hours. But too bad, that would look rude.

I was disappointed to find Blake nowhere around.

"Hey, Miss Vampire, what took you so long?" asked Josh winking at me as he passed by to get himself a drink.

I ignored him and went to hug my parents. "Happy birthday Kia." they said in sync.

"Thank you mom and dad. I was so scared to break my curfew. I thought you will ground me for months! Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise. I thought you all forgot my birthday" I pouted and told them.

Suddenly someone gave me a bone crushing hug from behind and I instantly knew who they were. "Happy Birthday Kia!!!!! Did you like the surprise?" asked Sarah while Rose was staring behind me.

"You guys scared me to death!!!! Of course I loved the surprise. This is the best birthday of my life." I said to them smiling.

*cough*cough*

Sarah coughed and was looking behind with a goofy smile on her face

I turned back to see what was behind me.

To say, I was shocked and astonished would be an understatement.

There stood the hottest guy of our school - Alexander Williams.

"Happy Birthday Kieara " he stretched his hand to wish me. I was stunned for a moment , suddenly from behind ,Sarah nudged me to bring me back to my senses. I instantly took his hand and said "Thanks" smiling at him.

I think he sensed the astonishment and shock in my voice.

"Hi, I'm Alexa-..." He was cut off by the sudden coughs.

I looked behind me and saw Sarah and Rose both looking at me with wide eye.

"Erm....these are my friends Sarah and Rose. And he is Alex."

He looked at them and said "Hi, I'm Alexander Williams. Pleased to meet both of you." With a smile that can make anyone melt.

We barely had classes together except for AP Chemistry and World History.

I was snapped back to my senses when Sarah pinched my hand.

"Ouch Sarah , What the hell was that for?" I said rubbing my hand where she pinched me and taking no notice of how loud I was and that Alex was listening to our conversation.

"Let's get you something to eat." said Rose and grabbed my wrist and took me out of the house, in the yard behind the house.

Hey! I thought we were going to eat something because I am feeling very hungry.

As I was leaving, I saw the frown on Alex's face and heard him murmur something like "Shit" under his breath. I felt sad for leaving him that way. He was such a gentleman. All thanks to my lovely dearly best friends. Ughh...

"How did he get here?" Sarah asked to Rose. She was looking confused.

"How am I supposed to know? I was incharge of the food tonight. And you were the one who invited everyone. Why would you invite him?" asked Rose in an angry tone.

"Hey! I don't really remember who all I invited okay? I just spread the news among our good friends." said Sarah in her defense.

"Cut the crap guys! Maybe Josh or Liam might have invited him. Big deal! And anyways, he's in my AP Chemistry and World History. So it's not that I don't know him or something and also he's hot." I started dreaming about those mesmerizing eyes and realized that I gave away too much information.

I found Sarah and Rose both giving me their million dollar smirk , both looking at me intimately about what I had said earlier.

"I see, you've gotten over your crush on Blake too soon now, haven't you?" Sarah asked, smirking at me.

A blush came up to my way when I heard his name. I went to reply but.

"Happy Birthday Kieara!!!! Sorry that I'm late. Do I still get a hug?" He whined in a mocking way and his friends stood behind him and laughed. The voice sounded too familiar to my liking.

And unfortunately I had to turn and look back at the guy who I would do anything to get rid off.
