"Jungkookah can you please finish this report for me. I have to take my wife and mother in law out for dinner tonight, they will absolutely kill me if I'm late." Asked the man who appeared to be around a decade older than Jungkook, sitting in the cabin near him.
Jungkook smiled at him and replied, "Sure Mr Kang why not, enjoy your dinner."
Mr Kang smiled, "Thank you so much Jungkook, I'll buy you something next time for sure." He replied as he took his coat and stormed out of the office.
Jungkook sighed as he looked at the report he had to finish, it was 6 pm already, it was time to go home. Guess he'd have to stay over time to finish it.
"Jungkookah can you please get some coffee for me, I'm staying over time, I don't understand why they always make me stay back, all others in this office are good for nothing. " Called out the lady sitting a few cubicles away from Jungkook's she appeared to be middle aged, and her hair was dyed red.
"Yes, I'm getting it!" Replied Jungkook as he quickly rushed to get her the coffee, he got her usual order from the office cafeteria and got in the elevator to get back to the 10th floor, where their cubicles were.
Suddenly the door to elevator opened and entered a tall man in a three piece channel suit, followed by a couple more people.
Jungkook bowed down and shifted to the side to make space for them, even though the men ignored his presence. The lift stopped and it was the floor Jungkook had to get out on, but the other three men kept standing infront of him.
He cleared his throat and spoke out, "Excuse me Sir, I have to get off"
The men shifted a bit to let Jungkook out. As he tried to rush out of their as soon as he possibly could, he collided into the man in channel suit, spilling the coffee all over it.
Jungkook's eyes widened with fear, "I'm really sorry Mr Kim. Let me clean it for you" He said he moved closer to the man trying to touch the stained part.
He man slapped his hand away as he took a deep breath, clutching his hands he replied, "There's no need. How about you watch where you are going from next time. I have a really important meeting in 10 minutes"
Jungkook kept bowing over and over again, "I'm really sorry Mr Kim" He felt like crying as soon as the elevator with the men was closed.
Wiping the stray tears under his eyes he quickly hurried downstairs to buy a coffee again. He returned back with the coffee and handed it over to the lady. He then started to work on the report that Mr Kang had given him.
After a couple hours, Jungkook was finally done, he took a deep sigh and started to pack his back. As he soon as he got up to leave, oh the luck must be really against him today as it started to rain and it looked like it was not going to stop anytime soon.
Jungkook always took the bus to his office and the bus stop was quite far away. Even if he ran he couldn't make it to the bus stop without being completely drenched.
He looked around to see if anyone was still in the office who drove a car and could give him a lift, but he was the only one working this late.
Sighing he glanced at hus wristwatch, it was really late and he was hungry. The office canteen was closed too.
"If I run with full speed I won't be completely drenched...I hope?" He asked, to no one.
He grabbed his stuff and made his way to the exit of his office building. "Okay" he motivated himself, "I can do this, I just have to run at full speed."
"Jungkook! Jungkook!" Called out someone from inside a car, that stopped on the other side of the street. Jungkook squinted his eyes trying to make out the face of the person behind the car window that was covered with raindrops.
"Jimin?!" He suddenly exclaimed with a huge grin.
Jimin opened the car door and came out holding an umbrella walking towards Jungkook.
"Thank god you are here, I thought I had to make a run in this rain" sighed Jungkook, "What are you doing here anyways?" He added as they started walking towards Jimin's car.
"I called you like a hundred times, but you didn't pick up or even answered my texts so I decided to go to your house and pick you up but saw you standing here by yourself."
"God my phone was dead I didn't have time to charge it, and you said you were going to pick me up from my house..?..Why?" He furrowed his brows.
Jimins expression suddenly changed to a huge grin as he clapped his hands enthusiastically, "You'll see, just get in the car" He said as he dragged Jungkook along with him.
"Wait jimin, where are we going, I didn't even bring any clothes or anything" Jungkook protested.
"Don't worry I got everything for us, just shut up and get in the car." He said pushing Jungkook inside the passenger's sear, locking the door as he himself got into the driver's seat.
The drive was filled with really loud pop music that Jimin played to ignore any of Jungkook's questions that he kept on repeated over and over, eventual Jungkook gave up. He sighed as he removed his glasses, placing them carefully inside the pocket of his shirt. He leaned his head on the window, closing his eyes as he tried to enjoy the obnoxiously loud music.
After around half an hour, "We are here!" Grinned Jimin, "How do you like the surprise Jungkook?" He frowned when he didn't get a response, he turned to face Jungkook only to find him asleep. Chuckling, he poked Jungkook's cheeks, "Get up you sleepy bunny, your gift is here, no.. we are at your gift!"
"Hngnm.." Groaned Jungkook softly as he rubbed his eyes, letting out a small yawn, "Where are we?" He asked, his sleepy voice barely audible.
"Put on you glasses and get out of the car, I'll go get our luggage from the trunk!" Jimin ordered before getting out of the car himself.
"What luggage?" Jungkook's eyes shot open, "Where are we?" He rolled down the window and peeped outside, there were people hugging each other with luggage by their side, some were crying, some were delighted over the moon. His eyes widened when he realized, "Jimin why are we at the airport?!"
"Took you long enough to figure out" Jimin chuckled closing the trunk. "This is your surprise! We are going on a trip to Japan for your birthday "
"Japan..my birthday?" Jungkook whispered as his eyes were soon gleaming, "Jiminah..." He whispered, holding back a choked sob.
"Shh..no need to cry kookie, it's your birthday in 2 days, you deserve this."
Jungkook wiped his tears and launched himself on Jimin, hugging his neck. Jimin chuckled before patting him on the back.
Jimin, "Let's go now, we are gonna be late!"
Jungkook, "Wait what about the car?"
Jimin replied, smiling, "My boyfriend will pick it up, he has a spare key."
Jungkook nodded, sniffing as he took his luggage before following Jimin inside.
Just as they entered the front gate of the airport , arrived a black range rover with glasses more tinted than your favourite lipstick.
"Mr Kim the flight leaves in 20 mins, your luggage has already been through security."
He nodded, putting on his black sunglasses. There was no sun in sight, it was 9 in the evening. The chauffer quickly got out to open the door for 'Mr Kim', followed by his secretary. He chauffeur bowed to the man in sunglasses before driving off.
"Would you like something to drink before the flight sir, i don't think we have enough time for anything else" asked the secretary.
"No" He replied, "My head is killing me, let's just sit in the plane." The secretary nodded, following his boss. Taehyung and his secretary sat on their respective seats in the buisness class cabin.
