My Savior

I was swimming,

And now I'm drowning.

I have no one to save me.

I feel I will give up,

And let the waves take me.

Then you come to my mind.

You make me want to stay alive.

I use all the strength I have.

The river keeps taking me down.

I hold my breath.

For you, I cannot drown.

But I keep going under,

My lungs are getting weaker.

The sky begins to thunder.

I don't think I will make it.

Alteast I know I tried.

I stop fighting and close my eyes.

I flow with the tide.

You're still on my mind.

I wish I could have kissed you,

One last time.

I open my eyes.

I see a light.

An arm dives in the water.

I grab on and swim to the surface.

I look up and see it is you.

You pull me in the boat.

Tears start to show,

In your eyes that are blue.

I grasp your face,

With my two hands.

I bring my lips to yours,

When I thought I wouldn't,

Be able to again.

You are my savior.

If something ever happens to you,

I will be there to return the favor.

I hope I won't have to,

Because I wouldn't want to lose you.

I couldn't imagine feeling,

The way you felt,

When you thought you lost me.
