The girls are in the desert. The sun beats down furiously down on them. They are incredibly hot in their armour.
Rose(panting): we can not keep moving during the day in this heat, it could kill us. (Frances barks in agreement)
Wren(still coping): it is not that bad. But if you guys need to stop then we can. Look , there is a tree over there, we can put up a shelter on that, it is easy
jana(surprised): I do not think it is that easy( she is giving Ellie and Nellie water)
Wren: well it is, I use to be in the military and this was training 101
wren starts setting up the shelter. Jana and rose start a small fire using the equipment given to them. They start cooking hot dogs and Ellie climbs the tree to snack on the leaves.
In no time at all, the shelter is up.
jana(amazed): wow, you are really good at this
they take off their helmets and eat the hotdogs. Frances and Nellie also eat the hotdogs.
wren: I may be good at shelter building but you two are great cooks.
Rose and jana smile as they eat, feeling proud. Once they have finished eating they rest until night. They pack up and move, using fire torches they were given. The moon and stars light most of the way. Thry walk until daylight. The sun starts blazing; beating down on them. They search for a tree or some form of shelter but find none. They have to walk further. By midday, they stop. A large, lime green dragon. It is using its wind breath power to push sand. The girls get closer to the dragon, its size seeming bigger and bigger as they approach. it notices the knights approaching and roars.
Carter: I am carter the wind dragon. my dragonets are my priority so back away knights.
wren: we are peaceful unless attacked, we mean you no harm
carter: you are not the first to say that.i will not trust again.
Rose: please we must pass. The city of tumblonia is dying of disease.
carter: the city is full of evil. They hunted my people when I was young
rose: dragon hunters killed your family?
Carter: more then just my family. They killed nearly everyone. They killed my childrens mother.
Jana: that is awful. I am so sorry. The dragon hunters were stopped and jailed.
Carter: good but I still must keep my children safe.
wren: we need to pass though. People are depending on us
carter: leave now(carter bares his teeth and roars)
Wren:but we must pass
carter steps towards the girls and the girls run back. Carters babies stay in the sand nest as carter comes closer to the girls. The girls realise they can not outrun him so stop. They drop their weapons and as carter goes to breathe wind on them, they rest their hands on his neck. Carter stops and looks at the girls. The girls eyes are closed, bracing for death.
carter: what are you doing?
Rose: showing we are not a threat. Do you want us to stop?
carter: no(crying a little) is is very nice, thank you. You can pass
jana: Ellie, frances, nellie come on.
the pets come out from hiding and each hug one of the three dragonets. The group leaves after waving the dragons goodbye. They make sure to pick up their weapons and then continue walking.
