Nex: the mountain is just ahead, it would be best to camp for the night and prepare.
The group sets up camp. They have been traveling for several days but now they are at the mountains.
Wren(taking nex aside from the group): are you feeling OK about this?
Nex: well I just hope I can find peri and we can get supplies without me being spotted. Soon as we done that we can leave for the plains.
Wren: ok well I am here if you need to talk
Nex: thank you. (Wave their hand and something appearing in their palm):, take this. It is a wolf arrow, used by distant tribes, very far from here. I travelled after being kicked out. I learned everything I could. I can magic things into existence so anything I can imagine can exist. The arrow will call forth and army of ghost wolves for a short period. Best keep your kitty in your hands when you use it.
Wren: thank you but why me?
Nex: you are nice. You all are. I will be with you for a long time but if anything happened to me or you or if I was not strong enough, I need to know you are safe.
Wren: ok. You are a great person, do not let the past define you
They head back to the rest of the group as food is cooked on a fire.
Jana: what you both been doing?
Wren: just talking. Obviously this will be a big thing for nex so I want to be sure they are ok
Jana: how kind. You are OK nex though because we can always find a new way if not
Nex: seriously I am fine
Jana(stroking ellie): ok well you can talk to any of us
Carter: even me. I am not as young as I look so I know a thing or two
Nex: thanks and neither am I. Always been told I have a childs view of things and like child things yet I am still wise and smart. I have just seen things in my time, horrible things so it is nice to let go for a while.
Jana: we do not mind you being like a child. Personally I think you are very cute when you do

Prince whilhelm curiously goes over to the group of pets and dragonets. He is nervous at first but starts playing happily with them. He decides to scare them by shimmering off and on his skin. The pets and dragonets get scared.
Nex: oi you cheeky, behave. You are scaring them.
Whilhelm stops and nex comes over to stroke them.
Nex(whispering in whilhelms ear): play nice. I likes these lot, they are nice.
Whilhelm squeaks and nex understands it as whilhelm agreeing.
Wren: you can understand him?
Nex: yes, every word. He can be a little devil at times but I suppose I have the same personality.
