Jana: there is a village in the distance, we should make our way to it
Nex: why do i have a bad feeling about this
Jana: calm down dear, it will be fine.
Nex: fine, lets go
The group pack up and begins the short journey across the plains. Beautiful yellow and purple flowers litter the grass and the sun calmly blazes on the group. Suddenly, three fires streak across the sky, two landing near the village and one landing near the group with a deafening roar and crash.
Nex: here come trouble, come on, lets get a look
The group runs to the wreck. Nex steps forward to investigate. A hiss is heard as the craft opens and something steps out. A plunger and eyestalk exit the craft and then a gun. Finally, the whole creature exits the craft. Nex takes a step back. The creature is metal with a rotating top, shaped like a pepper-pot. It is gold with silver orbs at its base.
Dalek: EXTERMINATE!
nex(shouting): it is a dalek, get behind me
The dalek blasts a shot from its gun as nex puts up a giant metal force field from their hand. It protects the group. As the dalek charges another shot, nex alters their hand to a plasma cannon and withdraws the shield.
Nex: exterminate this bitch (nex fires a shot)
The dalek explodes into dust, leaving nothing but ash behind. Nex sighs and returns their hands to normal.
Wren: what was that?
nex(a dark look across their face): a dalek, pure evil in a miniature tank. They exist nowhere near this planet
Wren: you mean it is alien
Nex: yes as they should not be here.
A vormp sounds nearby. A blue police box appears nearby and a handsome skinny black haired man exits.
Doctor: hello, i am the doctor. No need to worry. (he looks at the destroyed wreck) who did that
Nex: i killed the dalek. I am nex
They both take a second to register each others name. Then they both smile
Nex and the doctor: you changed face. Yes i did
They both laugh before hugging each other. It is a tight hug. Nex breaks apart and slaps the doctor across the face. The group gasps.
Doctor (slightly confused and mad): what was that for?
Nex: you are newly regenerated, your fourteenth known one i believe
doctor(realising): oh yes of course, i forgot how brilliant you are.
Nex: thats me, brilliant.
Carter: can someone explain this to us please.
Nex: ok so this is the doctor. He travels in this box, the TARDIS (points to it)
Doctor: it stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space
Nex: yes and the doctor is a brilliant being, saving thousands of galaxies.
The doctor blushes before becoming sad.
Doctor: and people die because of me. The flux destroyed half the universe
Nex: i would not say destroyed, you thought that of gallifrey.
Doctor: speaking of, where were you, i needed you and you were not there.
Nex: this is not a conversation for now. Anyway, there are many universes that exist but there are only 2 entities that exist in just this one, the first one. And those 2 entities you are looking at right now
The doctor and nex both wave awkwardly at the group and laugh.
Jana: wait, there are multiple universes?
Nex: yes and my twin here and i both have seen a few.
Doctor: i never understood that, are we actually twins.
Nex: no, but you are of this universe, no matter what you have been lead to think. I have been to universes even my parents could not visit.
Doctor: technically you are the most powerful being in every universe
Nex: makes sense being i started them
Wren: wait what?
Nex: my birth was the big bang in this universe. That had the knock on effect of creating the big bang for every other universe. I travel back sometimes, it is a pleasant thing to watch
Doctor: i have seen it and i must say, you were rather powerful at a young age
Nex: anyway, enough chit chat. Two daleks crashed into that village
Doctor: then we must go and stop them
Wren: can nex not just blast them?
Nex (spluttering): no, it has to recharge. (they wink to the group)
Doctor: right then, i will leave my tardis here and we can rid the village of the daleks, allons-y
The group sets off through the plains towards the monsters that infect the village.
wren(whispering to nex): so why did you lie?
nex(whispering to the whole group but so the doctor can not hear): because I want them to stay for a bit. It is too dangerous for the universe if I travel with them too much. Evil fears the doctor so imagine how they would react with me by their side. The multiverse has been at risk too many times already and even though I am powerful enough to save it all the time, I can not. The doctor must write their own story, I can not interfere much.
