The Chocolate Thief Boy

In a city, there is a famous thief who has not been captured by the police since half a year ago. This wanted thief did not break into a jewelry store or museum to steal valuable gems, pearls, diamonds, money, or gold. This thief is unique; his action is just stealing candy, chocolate, or any other sweet, but in a large amount. All of the candy stores in this city that have been stolen by this unique thief have lost most of their very best sweets.

And, the only fact that police officers know is, this thief is doing his action only at night. And, tonight, the police guarded all of the candy stores in that city in case the thief wanted to break into one of those stores.

As expected, this thief was quietly sneaking into one of the most famous candy stores in the city, while the police were still guarding in the front of the store without noticing it. The thief that successfully breaks into the store from a small window in the back side of the store keeps walking inside to steal the most expensive and high quality chocolate that can only be found in that store. When the thief was finding his chocolate, the emergency alarm rang loudly. The thief panicked, and just got one bar of chocolate.

The police secretly put a hidden camera that can detect people at night in the store. The police were immediately running into the store to find the thief while the thief was jumping from the window to the street. The thief was running away from that store when he saw a telephone booth. And, he got the idea to hide in that telephone booth. But, this reckless thief did not know that, the police already got into the place where the telephone booth was located.

But the journey of this thief did not end there, when the police were arresting this thief, they were surprised to see that this thief is actually a little boy! And, they ask some questions.

"Hey, Kid! What's your name? Where do you live? Why are you stealing chocolate at night? Where is your school? How old are you? Where are your parents!?" said one of the police officers with a bluff.

"Wow, calm down police officer. I know I am wrong but I can't help it. I just like chocolates very much, but I do not have money to buy it. My mom is sick, and my dad is always working outside the house to make money for her medication fee. So, I have no friends to play with. Even at school, they do not want to play with me, and one day I saw a candy store with a lot of delicious sweets there, and I asked my dad to buy it, but he said, he can't. Every time I went back home from school and passed that candy store, I always wanted that chocolate. So, I had the idea to steal it at night, because at that time, my parents were already asleep. And, I did it, that makes me want to have more and more chocolate. I know I am wrong, I am sorry, please do not tell my parents about this, okay? Police officer? I will give this chocolate back, here," The boy told the officer while handing a bar of chocolate.

The officer took the chocolate, and asked again.

"What is your dream, Kid?"

"Eh? I-i wanna be a chocolatier. So, I can make my own chocolate! But, no one can teach me how to make it," said the little boy.

"I can help you, but you have to promise me that you won't wander around at night and steal chocolates, again. Tomorrow, I will accompany you to tell the truth to all of the owners of the shops that you once broke into. After you're done with that, I will bring you to my candy store where you can learn how to be a chocolatier. How is it?" Asked the police officer.

The boy did not really understand, but he nodded his head and the next day, he said sorry and all of the truth to the owners of the candy shops. Some of them are angry with him, but some of them were happy to hear his story and even give him more chocolates. Everything went well that day. Until he came to the officer's candy store and found out that this store is the one that he tried to break into yesterday. But, the officer did not mind it, he told him to come every day to learn how to make chocolates. And, now, the boy can always eat chocolates that made by himself!
