1.)
I shyed away, watching the humans. I was scared. Something felt wrong and my leg hurt. I stepped farthur and farthur away, trying not to whimper. That one human made me feel so strange and different.
I felt my tail connect with something and I whirled around, only to find a wall. I narrowed my eyes and sniffed at it. It smelled wrong. Not like dirt and not like metal. I growled at it and it didn't anything so I stepped away, forgetting about my leg. I yelped as it touched the ground and my back legs buckled and I slumped.
"El!" A human voice shouted. I frowned, the voice broke through and I recalled the name that matched that voice. Logan. I tried to get back up and howled, falling back down.
Suddenly the humans appeared around the corner and slowed to a stop a few feet away. I growled loudly, warning them to stay back. I sniffed, this was my mate. Logan. The one who now slowly approached and bent down beside me.
I growled at him and he met my eyes. He seemed to be trying to tell me something. I understood that he wasn't going to hurt me, that he meant no harm to me or anthing but help. How I knew that I know not but, I knew it and that was all that mattered.
I layed my head back into the dust with a huff and felt his hands skim over my sides.
2.)
Logan moved his hands over Els body, leaving her leg for last, looking for other wounds. He found a deep scratch on her ribs and across her left cheekbone but other than that nothing. He moved his hands under her and she growled but he ignored her, there was nothing on that side.
He turned and gestured for the others to come, slowly. After a moment they did and El didn't complain, just stayed laying and panting heavily on the ground.
Dillan looked at her with concern, at her torn leg, "What do we do?"
Logan frowned, "We need to get her to change back."
"How?" Amy put her hand on El's head and stroked behind her ears.
Logan shook his head, "I don't know. Do any of you?"
Everyone shook their heads in response and Logan sighed, touching the gash on her ribs.
El snarled and snapped at them. Amy jerked back, barely withdrawing her hand in enough time to avoid losing it. El scrabbled up and backed against a wall Logan had barely noticed before. She lowered her head, ears flat against her skull and lips pulled over her teeth in a feral snarl.
Logan didn't move, meeting her eyes. "El, you need to change back."
"I don't think that will work," Luke murmered, eyes never leaving her.
Logan cursed at him mentally. It wasn't like Luke had a better idea.
El went quiet, meeting Logans eyes. He saw her swallow and saw the focus in her eyes. A shiver traveled through her body and her legs buckled. She dropped but The Hunters were smart enough to stay well away as she thrashed. Instead, Logan relieved himself by turning to Luke and sticking his tongue out. "Ha!" Logan shouted and Luke mock scowled, shoving him brotherly.
The sound of snaps and breaks and pained gurgles filled the room and made Logan wince. He cleared his throat as a tormented howl/scream reverberated through whatever place this was.
And then El lay naked on the ground, shaking uncontrollably. Her leg bled anew, pooling on the ground and she lay in such a way that covered her private parts. Logan couldn't tell if she was conciouss or not.
The Hunters all started forward at the same time as if controlled together by one puppet master. Logan pulled off his jacket and slowly lifted El up, not taking his eyes off of her face. He did see the gash bleeding freshly across her ribs though as he wrapped his jacket around her.
