Mina didn't mean to say what she did…but now they're staring at her like she just shot a dog with a gun. “This is going to be so fun.” She said loudly, Aizawa’s hair floated.

His eyes remained against her skin.

She felt her quirk go away, like she just lost her breath. Or her ears stopped earing…what? Earing?

Nevermind. “Fun?” He looked offended. Like she accused him of pissing himself. “What about this is fun?” He stepped forward, and the class shut up. Her ears were ringing.

“You're about to get tested on whether or not you do or do not deserve to stand within UA. A test to see whether you are or are not hero quality.” She heard Kirishima gasp when he looked at him.

His red hair dropped, his quirk too, went deactivated. But unlike her, he wasn't having such a fine reaction.

“This test determines your ability to survive in our society in a way that people revere. Nothin about this should be fun.” He turned to look at the others, they too, did not seem to handle the loss of their quirk well.

The two kids running stopped to listen to him, she saw the well-endowed girl speak up. “Sensei, I do not think she thought of it that way.”

But the man wasn't having by any of it.

“That's the issue with you kids. Everythings a game till another one of you dies.” He paused and pointed at the engine for legs kid. “Your brother is in pursuit of Stain, a villain with four hero heads under his belt and six heroes paralyzed.”

The boy was about to speak up, his eyebrows were furrowed and his rose to snarl. Angry and offended, hurt.

“And you Todoroki,” he pointed at the bi-colored hair dude. “Your father is amongst the top ten heroes in the world.”

His finger moved again, to the girl with tits standing behind the engine kid. “And you Yaoyorozu, your parents are constantly under the threat of assassination. Where’s the fun in that?”

She was angry too, but not as much as the others. Todoroki’s ice steamed against the air. Crackling on his arm.

“You know people who are seconds away from dying, yet shit is funny? Just two years ago,” his voice rose, “a boy no older than y'all was going through the same test. He joked about it too, and on his very first internship, because he was joking the entire fucking time! The kid died.”

His eyes got brighter and his hair rose higher. They felt small, she felt small.

“UA isn't fun and games, you're always one mistake from death. You will be pushed to the ends of the earth, faced with pain, rejection, and death. Yet, you all think this stuff is funny.”

His hair fell, “it's not, not when you're in my class.” He looked down to the grass before running his back to them.

His throat was cleared, “Every week you'll be given this same test. If you come last, your work will be doubled and your time with your peers will be lessened…now, we're starting over. Uraraka Ochako and Kaminari Denki, you're up first.”

They stepped up awkwardly, she could see their nervousness. “100 meter sprint, line up.” His throat was cleared, and he spat far off into the grass.

That all took it as a joke…till the results showed. “Tooru Hagakure.” The girl practically whimpered, they all stood anxiously. “You placed last, go pack your bags, someone will be here to pick you up quickly.” She ran off.

Her invisible hair lightly brushed her face as she ran past…not crying. She didn't hear her whimpers, not feel her quirk react with the salt.

Aizawa pulled a phone from his pocket, and texted someone. It took a minute for her to come back out.
