FORMER FRIENDS, Rye and Spencer stopped talking years ago when Rye ghosted her after moving to a new state. The two had promised to keep in touch, and him breaking that promise hurt and angered the girl. Over the years, Spencer forgot about him, or at least she thought she did, thinking she would never have to see him again. Four years later, Rye moves back and starts attending the same college as her, forcing Spencer to face him. Feeling horrible about what he had done, and missing their friendship, Rye will do anything to regain her trust.

SPENCER hates Rye's guts.
The girl's still hurt that he
 had thrown away years
worth of friendship for
new friends. Just when 
she believes she'll get
another fresh start at
college, Rye moves back
to town, and everything
changes. She feels as if
anything he does won't
make her change her
opinion about him,
because he had lost any
sort of respect she had
for him long ago.

RYE never hated Spencer,
or wanted to hurt the girl.
He felt horrible, after he
finally realized what he
did was messed up, and is
 embarrassed it took him so
long to see that. When he
decides to move back to
his old town for college,
he realize Spencer attends
the same school. He decides
to use this opportunity to
get back in her good graces,
no matter what it takes.
