‼️Tw‼️: Bullying

. . .

Ko Yunseo could actually be branded as one of Suyeon's worst nightmares.

The first time they met was in the first year of middle school, when Suyeon was still adjusting to the new chapter of her life and she had no friends to hang out with. Yunseo was the first to approach her.

"Hey! I like your name. It's really similar to mine! I'm Yunseo!"

That was how Yunseo greeted her. And she seemed friendly enough, and Suyeon was still rather vulnerable and naive at the time. Of course, she'd agree to be friends with anyone who offered to be friends with her. And that's pretty much what placed her in this situation.

Yunseo was nice enough at first, bringing Suyeon along wherever she went, buying her things, and offering to style her clothes and her hair...

And then she began crossing the line.

"That shirt looks horrible, you should change it."

"Oh my gosh, you look silly in that make-up! Who told you to do that?!"

"It must suck being the only one among your siblings who's behind, huh? Hey, what if you never become as successful as they are?"

"You know, Suyeon, you're not very pretty. That's why I'm here to help you!"

"How come I've never heard you talk about your father? Do you hate him or something?"

Almost every word that came out of Yunseo's mouth was a stab to Suyeon's pride and self-esteem. She could have left. She could have stopped hanging out with Yunseo as soon as she realized. But, unfortunately, Yunseo was really all she had as a friend in middle school.

She really didn't have anyone else to go to, and so she wasn't very willing to leave if that was the case.

Until one such incident where she couldn't really handle Yunseo crossing the line anymore...

"Hey, Suyeon, can I have one of your brothers as my boyfriend? I mean, you're close enough to ask them that, right?" Yunseo laughed as she asked, making Suyeon freeze in her seat again as she kept her head down, pretending not to hear her.

That annoyed Yunseo, of course, and for a split-second, she sneered before banging her palm on Suyeon's desk, making the latter jump. She then looked up with wide eyes, almost looking like she was going to jump at Yunseo, but she held back as soon as she saw the girl smiling wide as she looked at her.

"Hey, not to be rude, but your brothers probably aren't even that attractive seeing how you are, but since you've got a heart of gold, I'm sure you can help us all here. After all... don't you think I'm doing you a favor by helping your brothers find a partner despite their looks?"

Suyeon gritted her teeth as she struggled to keep calm. She knew she needed to say something, but if she opened her mouth, she feared it might cause her to explode. "Yunseo... I'm afraid... I can't... do that," Suyeon spoke through gritted teeth as she forced a smile on her face.

Yunseo's smile completely faded, though. And then she sneered as she spoke with a louder voice for everyone in the classroom to hear. "Wow... I guess I was wrong about you having a heart of gold, then. You're such a selfish b*tch, Suyeon. No wonder no one likes you."
