The three slayers walked in silence to the small cabin they had to stay at, even Shinazugawa was aware that this was not the time for his arrogance. Something about the encounter with the shapeshifting demon had messed with Tomioka, and bad. It was enough to make the emotionless, be very emotional.
They arrived at the cozy cabin on the edge of town not too long after, the town was relatively small.
Tomioka was the first inside, and the first to go into hiding. Tomioka went straight to his room, avoiding everyone at the moment.
Kamado was the second one in, also going right to his room so he could let his little demon sister Nezuko out before the sun came up.
Shinazugawa stayed outside, he felt a little awkward around the other two though he'd never admit it. He stayed outside sharpening his sword and thinking about what Tomioka had done, and more about what he said.
'I'm not going to lose him again!'
Again..? What had he meant by that? And who was it that the guy they were both seeing? Why couldn't I see him?
Thoughts like that along with others floated around his head. He had stayed outside all night, not noticing until the sun had fully risen and the Kamado boy came out to invite him to come in and eat.

The night before with Tomioka.
---
Tomioka went straight to his room, avoiding everyone at the moment. He couldn't handle how the demon situation played out. The damn demon had tricked him, went into his mind, his personal memories and used it against him.
And worse was that seeing Sabito made it real, real enough to have pushed Shinazugawa away and protected a manipulating, shape shifting demon. Tomioka felt terrib;e for his actions, for the way that he couldn't take the time to assess the situation.
The slayer went to sit on his bed, but he ended up laying down and curling up in the fetal position. He hugged his legs tightly close to him, and held onto his haori, specifically the patterned side. Tears dripped down from his eyes and down his cheeks, he tried to hold it back but he just couldn't, soon after he fell asleep.

Night before with Kamado.
---
Kamado was the second one in, also going right to his room so he could let his little demon sister Nezuko out before the sun came up. He let the little demon out of the box, and gave her a few of her favorite head pats before sitting down.
"What was Sabito doing there?" The boy asked aloud. "Why could I see it and not Mr. Shinazugawa? Also, why did he have that effect on Mr. Tomioka as well? Should I ask him about it? No. It's not my place.. But I want to help. Maybe I'll ask tomorrow. Right now I've gotta get some sleep."
He gave Nezuko her goodnight head pats, and laid down, his mind began to wander off to when he'll get back. It had only been a day, but he missed his friends. It was weird to him to have a slightly quiet mission.
He missed Inosuke's loud yelling at Zenitzu's crying over the small things. He missed Kaneo's occasional quiet voice, and Aoi's lectures at Inosuke's and Zenitzu's fighting. But most of all, he missed Genya. The tall, younger brother of the Wind Pillar. Tanjiro hates to admit it, but he has a bit of a crush on him.
After a few minutes of thinking of his friends he drifted into a light sleep.
