AUTHOR'S POV

Vidyut was on his way to work when he noticed her phone. This girl can't even take care of her basic needs. He drove back to her house and parked outside the main gate. The guard greeted him, and he returned the greeting, but to his astonishment, he stopped him

"Sir, you... you are here?" The guard stammered, but he grimaced when the guard stopped him from entering her home. His hands trembled, and sweat beads formed on his brow.

"Yes, I am here. May I leave if you're finished? "Thank you. Vidyut glared at him and entered without saying anything. The guard was constantly yelling his name from behind, but he nevertheless entered her home. No one could stop Vidyut Agarwal, but as soon as he opened the door, his brow furrowed as he saw Ada on the floor with her father's hand on her head.

What in the hell is going on here?

Before he could question or respond, her father asked her softly, "Ada mera baccha." Thik toh hai na tu meri beti."

He looked at Ada, who coughed, and Vijay stood up and smiled at him. Vidyut gazed at her, and their eyes connected, but she was crying. Vidyut approached them, and Ada rose from the floor, standing behind her father with a smile that did not reach her eyes.

The way she smiled when she labeled him a jerk is not the same as the smile he gave.

"Vidyut what a pleasant surprise son, come sit," Her father, however, had his gaze fixed on her, and she appeared nervous. Something is odd; she did not leave his house like way, so why is it now?

'Vidyut, this is her life; you are nothing to her, and she is nothing to you. She hands over her damn phone and leaves,' his thinking said.

It's her life, and her father loves her. She was also missing her father, which could explain why she was crying. Vidyut smiled at Vijay and sat down on the couch, but Ada remained standing.

"You, bring something for him," Vijay told Nani. She nodded and was ready to leave when Vidyut stopped her and said, "No, I don't need anything. We had already finished our meal, and I came here merely to return her phone.

He said and glanced at Ada, their gazes met, but she swiftly averted them. A single tear escaped from her eyes. Vidyut rose and walked towards Ada, his brow wrinkled and his eyes filled with concern.

Vidyut's protective instinct kicked in when he spotted Ada's hands trembling, a silent indicator of her inner turmoil. He furrowed his brow and glanced at her face again, tears and strains obvious, as well as a damaged cheek. His gaze moved to her throat, where he discovered bruised markings as if someone had forcibly grabbed her throat.

"Who did this?" Vidyut inquired in a serious tone, but Ada did not respond. He handed her the phone and asked her again the father's question, but she didn't respond. He returned her father's gaze, and he noticed his unease.
