After her exam, we went for lunch at her favorite restaurant near the campus. We talked throughout the lunch about different things, and she started expressing herself a lot more after that.

The next two days went by the same routine. Me helping her learning Python and she continuously whining about it being boring. Like a little kid her attention span was just a few minutes and then she would find some way to have a break.She even suggested that I should write the exam for her as I am so good at it.

Now we are in the car outside her university and she was still complaining. "If I fail in this I will blame it on you." she said with a pout.

"All the best Hope. You are prepared and will do well." I said trying to motivate her. She opened the door and stood outside with her back to the door. I went to her side and said, "You will get late, 10 minutes are left. You should go."

She looked at me with a frown and stood there crossing her arms. "Wish me good luck properly." I hugged her and said Good luck. She stomped her foot and said "properly".

At first I was confused and then I realised. I held her chin and gave a quick peck on her lips. She looked at me with wide eyes and her face turned pink.
"All the very best sweetheart."

That broke her trance, and she rushed inside without looking back. And I made my way towards the cafe to wait for her.

At 11, I was waiting outside for Hope to come. She was coming with a girl and a guy and talking enthusiastically with them. She saw me and waved at me then ran towards me, her friends following her.

She came and jumped on me excitedly, I balanced myself carefully and held her up. "Thank you Thank you sooo much. It went great all because of you." saying his she kissed my cheek. I stilled and she realised what she did and tried to put her feet on the ground. Her face turned completely pink.

"That was all because of your hard work and I am happy to help."

The girl that came with her stretched her hand towards me and said in a flirtatious tone. "Hi, I am Katie Brown." I shook her hand and said, "Haven Smith" with a smile. she said pointing towards the guy, "This is Hayden Davis."
He said an awkward "Hey".  I turned to Hope and saw her glaring at Katie. What happened to her, she was in a joyful mood a minute ago.  Was she feeling jealous?

Katie again said, "How do you know Hope? I have never seen you around. I would have remembered such a gorgeous face." I did not know what Hope had said to her friends about our relationship. I looked towards her, she came and stood next to me hooking our arms possessively and said, "Haven is my wife." Yes, she is definitely jealous. That made me feel good, she is accepting this relationship and cares enough to feel jealous.

Katie looked at us startled and then burst out laughing, "Nice joke Hope. You never dated anyone and now suddenly you want us to believe you got married and that to this beautiful woman." Her words made me frown. "It's true, why would Hope joke about something like that." saying I held Hope's left hand in mine and showed us our rings.

"Oh my God Hope you never told us, we have been friends since high school. It is our right to know this. How long have you been married?" Hayden asked.

"Bitch you betrayed me. I was supposed to be your maid of honour. You robbed me of my right. Tell me with whom did you cheat on me?" Katie said with shock written all over her face.

"Well, we got married this Sunday and I forgot to tell you guys because of the exam pressure. I was supposed to tell you tomorrow at the party. I will answer all your questions, let's go have lunch, I am feeling hungry." Hope said the last words looking at me sheepishly rubbing her stomach. "You should have eaten more than 3 bites in the morning." "I was nervous about the exaaammm" she said whining. I chuckled at her behavior and said, "Okay let's go."

I opened the passenger door for Hope to sit in, Katie wolf whistled and said "oh princess treatment. I wish someone would do so for me as well." Hayden opened the back door for her, she swooned but he sat himself and closed the door. Hope and Hayen burst into laughter seeing Katie's shocked face. She stood there crossing her arms and refused to get in.

"Haven you have to open the door for me as well. I am Hope's best friend who was robbed from her rights." I opened the door for her as well and she sat inside giggling and said, "Haven I approve you as Hope's wife. You two, now I have someone on my side as well, now it is a fair fight." I sat inside the car and drove towards the restaurant.

Hayen and Katie were bickering on the back seat. I turned towards Hope who was silent since I started driving, so I looked at her. She was glaring at me. She was looking like an angry kitten. I picked her hand from her lap and kissed the back of it. She glared at me, but her red cheeks betrayed her. I intertwined our fingers and kept them on her lap. She kept looking outside for the rest of the time.
