I believe that Daniel was neglected like "Max". Also, he could have been bullied, because in Arrival of the torso takers he said to Max, "arrogant little boys like you think your to cool for school, but when they rub someone the wrong way, they disappear and their bodies are never found. " (I think I got the quote right😅) Now, Daniel did say that the was a quote from the show Max, Nikki, & Neil were watching. We don't know for sure if what he said was a quote, but it makes a lot of since because of how deranged Daniel acts towards others.
