Coraline's POV

"Cora! Make me breakfast!" My best friend Jack yells from downstairs. I roll my eyes and get out of bed, slipping an oversized t-shirt over my bra and underwear so Jack doesn't see me half naked. My bunny slippers sit by the door so I slide my feet into them before walking down to the kitchen. Jack sits on a stool behind the island, looking at his phone, so he doesn't even see me walk into the kitchen.

"Good morning." I yawn, walking over to the fridge to take out the eggs and bacon.

"Hey, Alex wants the band to hang out today, do you want to come with us?" He asked.

"I don't know. I have work this morning, I get off at 2, so if you want I can meet you somewhere when I'm done." I shrugged, now making Jack his precious breakfast.

"Yeah. Text me when you get out and I'll tell you where we're at." He said. I nodded and put his food on a plate, setting it in front of him with a cup of coffee and walked upstairs. I work at a book store downtown, so I'm allowed to wear anything I want. I change into a pair of acid wash skinny jeans, a white blink 182 t-shirt and my black vans. For my makeup I do the usual concealer, blush, mascara and eyeliner. I leave my naturally curly hair down and grab my purse, running downstairs so I won't be late for work. Jacks still eating his breakfast, so I steal a piece of his bacon and take a sip of his coffee.

"Hey! That's mine!" He pouted.

"Well I made it. Sharing is caring." I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

"What if I don't care." He mumbled under his breath. I shook my head and laughed at him before ruffling his hair with my hand, making him pout even more.

"I gotta go now. I'll see you later." I waved and walked out the front door, both jack and I shared a car so we only had one. I hopped into the silver Hyundai and put the keys in the ignition, starting the car and pulling out of the driveway. The book store is only about 10 minutes away so I got to work right on time.

I parked my car in its usual spot and walked into the store, waving at Cynthia, my co-worker. She was stocking some new books on the shelves, so she couldn't really wave back, instead she smiled and then turned back to the books. I walked behind the counter, shoving my purse in one of the open spaces in the counter and then starting up the computer.

"Anyone come in yet?" I asked Cynthia.

"Not much, a few older people but other than that, no one." She said, shrugging then averting her gaze to the door, it's bell making the sound it makes when someone walks in. I turned my attention to the door also, seeing 4 boys walk into the building.

"Hello." I said. The blonde one smiled and walked off to a different section of the store, while the Asian looking one walked over to me. He leaned against the counter, trying to act cool.

"'Sup." he said.

"Can I help you?" I asked, trying to hold in a giggle.

"You could give me your number." He winked.

"Or you could go over there with your friends cause you look like you're still in high school." I motioned him to walk away then walked over the radio to play some music. Since my green day cd was still in it I just kept it on that and turned it up a bit.

"Excuse me?" Someone called. I turned around to see the guys who had just walked into the store. They were all holding CDs from our small section of music in the back.

"Oh, sorry." I said. They all lined up, starting with the blonde one first. He handed me a nirvana cd and I scanned it before slipping it into a bag before handing it to him.

"6.50." I said. He handed me the money and went to talk to Cynthia. Next the Asian looking one came to me.

"Sorry about earlier, you're just a itty bit hot." He smiled. I shook my head but couldn't help but smile back. I did the same with his cd before sending him on his way. After scanning the colorful haired one I finally got to the last one. A brown haired, talk guy, who by the looks of it likes blink 182.

"Hello." I smiled. He grinned and handed me his cd.

"Hi." I scanned it and put it in a bag, then setting it on the counter.

"That'll be, $4." I said.

"But the track said they're $7." He said, a confused look on his face.

"But you're cute so I'm giving you a discount." I said. He blushed and handed me a five dollar bill. I handed him back his change and gave him his receipt. He tore a piece of the receipt off and grabbed a pen from his pocket and the scribbled some numbers on it.

"Call me sometime." He said. I blushed myself and took the paper, slipping it in my back pocket. He took his bag and walked out of the store, his friends following after him.

"What did that guy give you?" Cynthia asked as she walked over to me.

"His phone number." I said.

"Really? His blonde friend just kept flirting with me, but he was extremely shy." She giggled. I laughed with her and looked over at the clock.

"Holy shit. It's already time to go." I laughed. I locked the register and turned off the radio before following Cynthia out of the shop. I locked up before walking to my car. I waved at her before getting in, putting my keys in the ignition. I pulled out my phone and dialed Jacks number.

"Hello." He said.

"Hey, are you with the band?" I ask.

"Yeah, we're in Alex's backyard, we have some people we want you to meet. Are you coming over?" He asked.

"Yeah, I need to change. Am I gonna have to cook for you guys?" I asked.

"Rian is gonna grill so all you have to do is make something to go with it."

"Okay I'll be over in 30 minutes."

"Bye." I hung up and set my phone in the cup holder. I drove out of the parking lot, and got to out house in 10 minutes. I got out of the car and walked into the house, running up to my room. I changed into a red skater skirt and my "feed me and call me pretty" crop top, along with a pair of combat boots and a black and white flannel wrapped around my waist. I ran the brush through my hair once and added another coat of mascara before running back out to my car.

-15 minutes later-

"What's up bitches." I said as I set my purse on the chair. Alex, Zack, rian, and jack all sat in chairs. But the people who caught my eyes were the boys from earlier.

"Oh. Hey guys." I mumbled waving to the boys. I looked over to the all time low guys and glared.

"Hey... What's up girrrlll?" Alex asked.

"Shut up lexie." I said. I sat down in one of the chairs and stuck my tongue out at Alex.

"Hey, Calum, Luke, Ashton, Michael! Come on over here!" Jack yelled. The four other boys walked over to us and gave me a smile.

"Coraline, meet 5 Seconds of Summer. They're a new band and we're helping them write some songs for their album." Alex said.

"I met them earlier, at the bookstore."

•••••••••••••••••

Oh my god, I'm so sorry for the wait. I've been really busy and I swear I've been trying to write for this book in my spare time, but it seems like I never have any. Sorry if this is bad, but I tried to make it a bit longer. (1362 words!)
Anyway, hope it was okay.
