There is a saying that the Browncoats had, "If you can't run, you crawl, if you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you."
It was something that was drilled into your head the moment you started boot camp and carried out service as you were to fight in the war against the New Alliance.

It was something that Captain Namjoon Kim, or RM as he was usually called, (unless they were his crew because then the nicknames never ceased), it was just something that he had drilled into his head. And it was something he carried with him for the rest of his life, which seemed like it was coming to an end now.
He took a small breather as he paused and then giggled as a random memory of the myriad of nicknames his crew used to call him would crop up.

'The Naked Wonder' was one that was often used, courtesy of his companion...well, he wasn't a companion anymore, but yes, it was courtesy of Jin that he had the nickname. And of course, with the eventual Triple Trouble Tornado Throple, also known as the Maknae Line or 4T, around, well, he never heard the end of it.

Not that he minded in the long run, because in the end they were all a family. Not by relational blood, but by choice, by hardship, by the blood they had spilt together on missions and jobs, by the love they forged whether that be true friendship, family, couples, throple, or a combination of the lot.

Namjoon sighed as he got up to walk again, he had to fix the engine, maybe get ARMY working as she once did, even if momentarily and until he fixed the parts that needed to be fixed.
But the air was getting harder to breathe, ARMY was dying and she was taking Namjoon with her.
He sighed.
Oh, how he wished that he had someone to carry him, but ever since all this started years ago, he was always the one who carried everyone else because he felt that he had to. To hold them, care for them, save them, get them home safe at expense of his life if he had to.
And he honestly wouldn't change that. That's what made him a Browncoat, because he knew that he could be that comrade that people could rely on to carry them. All Browncoats were like this and he knew that when he came to, Yoongi would be furious.
But Yoongi deserved to be alive and well, especially after all he had been through, and Namjoon knew that the shorter but older man would've stubbornly stayed on ship despite orders, to die with him if he could.
Actually, he knew that most of the crew bar the engineer slash mechanic he hired after Jungkook left, would've stayed with him.

So, he had to sedate them all before he put them all in Jin's shuttle and programmed it to land somewhere safe.

The air continued becoming steamier and harder to breathe in as fumes erupted here and there around the ship, partly burning his lungs.

The ship had long run out of gas and was heating up, the cooling units that were supposed to help keep the ship regulated had broken. The parts were defect. They were newly put in but they weren't proper parts. Had Jungkook still been part of the crew, Namjooon knew that the younger would've notice it straight away. In fact, the younger would've made sure that ARMY was fueled and fed properly. Under his care, ARMY rarely had issues that Jungkook couldn't fix.

The younger had an eye for catching out the fakes that would cause problems and addressing said problems.

But the new engineer Namjoon had trusted to help maintain ARMY and keep the ship running well in the absence of the original core crew was more a fake and was just doing the job for the want of money and travel, nothing else.
(Actually, even the new pilot wasn't that good compared to how Hoseok and Taehyung could fly ARMY with love and ease).

The new engineer had no clue about the heart and hard work that Bangtan Sonyeondan, a.k.a BTS, (the name Namjoon gave his original core crew) put into creating the ship and creating ARMY. No clue as to how the original ARMY ran and what made the ship work, how much pain went into the ship's reconstruction and how much all seven members of the original crew put parts of themselves into the ship by designs, parts, construction, and experiences.
