"Cause you, you, you, you and me could move a mountain" Beyoncé Love Drought blared through Aimee's AirPod Pros as she jogged around Spelman's empty track.

Every other evening she would spend time running laps around the track until she got tired. Aimee used to run track during High school, the thought she would make a career out of it until she tore her Achilles tendon, it happened during one of the biggest track event.

Aimee vowed to herself that she would never run track again. Not only did she feel like she let herself down but her team as well, she beat herself up for months about it.

Her parents tried to reassure her that it wasn't her fault but she just couldn't accept it. During her healing process she spent the summer writing on blog sites, that's what made her fall in love with writing.

Aimee's music was interrupted by an incoming FaceTime call from Jayce.

Stopping to catch her breath she answered it pointing the phone upward so her sweaty face wasn't in the camera.

"Aimeeeee". He sung causing her to giggle. "Hey Jayce".

"Where yo pretty ass face at? I ain't call to look at the sky".

"I'm sweaty! I don't want you to see me like this". Aimee answered heading back over to her duffle bag that sat on the bleachers.

"You act like ima judge you or something, show me that face". Jayce kissed his teeth while walking around his room.

Grabbing her towel she quickly wiped her face off before putting it in the camera.

"There you go, wassup sweetheart what were you doing?". Taking a seat next to her bag Aimee drunk some of her water.

"I was running a few laps around the track". Jayce raised his eyebrows as he sat on his bed. "Laps? You run track?".

"I used to back in high school, but I don't anymore. I just do this periodically to keep myself in shape and well to see if I still got it". She smiled as he nodded with a small smile.

"That's dope, you a jack of all trades huh?".

Aimee shrugged while standing up gathering her things in the mist. "I wouldn't say all of that".

"Mhn but I got some good news doe, I got a 98 percent on my paper which means I have a B+ in the class now". Aimee let out a squeal as she happily cheered for him.

"Jayce that's what's up! I'm so happy for you!".

"I couldn't have did it without you, I owe you big time". Aimee shook her head. "No you don't , I was just helping you out no need to pay me back or anything".

"Shit if it wasn't for you my ass would be on academic probation, I got to pay you back. Maybe we can go out again". Aimee bit her lip while Jayce played with one of his locs that hung in his face.
