Meher took in a deep breath and entered the place she despised the most- her bhaiya's territory..uhh study. 'Act confident. Act confident.' she chanted.
She was about to take one step in when her eyes widened in realisation and she immediately rushed out. She whacked her own head and knocked on the door softly.
Arjun rolled his eyes. If only she remembers to do this when he expects her to! But well it was Meher Raichand he was talking about. Always expect the unexpected!
Arjun- "Come in."
Meher entered the study with the most innocent look on her face making Vansh give her a disgusted look. She was literally thrashing him for eating her chocolate an hour back!
Arjun- "Itna time lagta hai pouch lane me?"
Meher sat down trying tho come up with an excuse. He didn't need to know about her last minute revision. But then she reminded herself that she had not actually study anything to revise it...So it was more like taking a bird's eye view of the formulas.
Arjun, a bit loudly- "Kuch pucha Maine?"
Meher sat up straight- "Woh pouch kho Gaya tha!"
Arjun raised his eyebrow- "Ab pouch kaise khota hai?"
Meher shrugged- "I mean...jaise baki sab cheeze khoti hai..."
Arjun glared at her and then frowned- " Toh ab mil gaya?"
Mehu- "Kaun?"
Vansh laughed earning a whack from Arjun's file.
Arjun- "Pouch kaha hai Jo tu lene gayi thi?"
Meher, like it's the most obvious thing on the earth,stated- "Woh toh kho Gaya na..."
Arjun sighed- "Pen kaha hai, Meher?"
Meher- "Pouch me aur pouch---"
"Kho Gaya." Arjun concluded, "Ab?"
Mehu leaned closer to him-
"Don't tell me aapki study me extra pen nahi hai!"
Before Arjun could give her a good piece of his mind, Vansh intervened-
"Bhaiya ne toh pehle bhi yahi bola tha, Mehu. Tu hi woh Teri lucky pen lene gayi thi."
Mehu- "Wahi toh dadu! Meri lucky pen bhi kho gayi. Ab agar mera test accha nahi gaya toh no one can blame me." She gave Arjun a side eyed glance.
Arjun looked at Vanu- "Of course. Agar test accha nahi gaya toh there would be no blame game. Only the ruler will make an appearance today."
His tone was not taunting but promising and that made Meher gulp. Her bhaiyu has asked her to revise the formulas of the last few chapters but she was too lazy to do that and thus lied about it. And now she was paying the price! She was so de...Arjun kept the question paper infront of her.
Meanwhile, Vansh was a completely different story! He had utilised his time for revision and the two pre boards he had given have really helped him. However, it won't be a lie to say that this particular test paper was harder than both the pre board papers combined!
After pretending to read the paper for a good fifteen minutes, Meher had no option but to finally pick up the pen. She quickly jotted down the solution for the questions related to recent chapters.
Arjun not looking up from his file
"Mehu 35 minutes, Vanu 25."
Mehu- "Haww! Itni jaldi? Mujhe laga 15 minutes ka reading time hai."
Vansh muttered- "So ghante tak paper dekhegi phir bhi kuch nahi ho payega."
Mehu- "Suna maine."
Vanu- "Sunane ko hi bola maine."
