Although Somi's words were casually spoken, Jennie understood her hint that she was not good enough for Lisa.

She picked up one of the teacups on the table and took a sip of the piping hot tea. The taste was faintly sweet and its scent lingered in her mouth. This was the taste of a premium grade Bi Luo Chun Tea.

"Good tea," Jennie murmured. She had no intention of responding to Somi.

However, Somi did not notice this. A hint of arrogance flashed past her expression. "By the way, you should really congratulate me." She continued on her own. "As the Manoban family's adopted daughter, though my position is valuable for its affiliation with the Manoban family, I do not actually have any blood relations with them. To my surprise, a while ago, my relatives finally located me. I really did not expect myself to be Lee Group's old director's granddaughter..."

The meaning of her words was clear. She was hinting that she was a good match for the Manoban family.

Jennie lifted her brows as she took her words in.

In her previous life, she had never noticed that this woman's feelings for Lisa were this obvious.

In fact, Lisa was an extremely outstanding man. It was normal for Somi to fall for her cousin who had no blood relations with her.

However, though they were both from the Manoban family, Jennie knew very well that they were not actually familiar with each other.

This was because Lisa had lived in a different villa with his parents when he was young. Ever since he became an adult, he had lived in the Yu Ting Villa independently.

Kai and Somi on the other hand, had lived with their parents.

Thus, the two Manoban families only met on rare occasions at the Manoban family's old mansion.

Somi chattered on relentlessly. To her surprise, Jennie did not give her any response whatsoever. With her intelligence, she naturally understood that Jennie was intentionally ignoring her.

The silence was awkward for a moment and a hint of rage flashed past her seemingly composed gaze.

If this had been anyone else, they would have rushed to flatter her the moment they realised that she was the Lee Group's successor.

How could they possibly ignore her?

"Do you dislike my identity as the Lee family's granddaughter?" The valuable identity drew a lot of envy. The ruined Kim family had no way of comparing against her. Somi wanted to see the self-hatred in Jennie's expression. To her surprise, Jennie remained indifferent. There was no way of telling how she actually felt.

"That's true, you're the future Madam Manoban. Of course..." Somi wanted to continue.

Jennie lost her patience and cut her off. "You're also a well-educated individual. Don't you feel any shame in asking a stranger to congratulate you?"

She then asked in amusement. "Or could it be that you're intentionally taking advantage of your status as the Lee Group's granddaughter to mock me?"

Somi was clearly doing so. But, of course, she refused to admit to it. "How could that be? You're thinking too much."

She wouldn't be as foolish as Liyin and her daughter. Their ambitions were painted all over their faces.

In the past, she had secretly kept tabs on the Kim family's situation.

Initially, she had assumed that Liyin and Krystal would deal with Jennie. This way, she wouldn't have to spare any effort on this.

To her surprise, the mother and daughter were completely useless. One had ended up dead and the other had been sentenced to lifetime imprisonment. They were truly rubbish!

What was more upsetting was that Jennie had actually successfully lost weight. She even regained her stunning appearance. This left her completely frustrated.

Somi fell into deep thought. She refused to participate in a battle without guaranteed success. She managed her expression and pointed at a short distance away. "Look, they're here!"

Around the corner, an extravagantly dressed middle-aged woman could be seen approaching them. She was supporting an elderly man in his sixties. The man was dressed in a Chinese-style white shirt.
