If this matter was blown up and Jennie came to ask about the inconsistent report, she would only be at the losing end.
It was better to minimize this issue.
Jennie had guessed that Somi would do something to Butler Mingde. She was hiding behind a corner with her phone held up and had recorded everything that happened earlier.
Combining both her previous and current life, this was her first time seeing Somi perform hypnosis.
Her skill worked too quickly!
Her abilities were outstanding. Unlike normal, skilled psychiatrists, she did not have to spend time waving a pocket watch before the patient, nor did she require the patient to relax and think of anything. She could directly influence their thoughts!
As expected, Somi was indeed a terrifying opponent to have.
Thankfully, this woman's hypnosis was not absolutely powerful. Against individuals like Lisa who had a powerful aura and a strong will, her skill was useless.
Jennie temporarily did not plan on releasing the video of Somi using her abilities on Uncle Mingde.
This was because Somi had changed her mind in time when she attempted to swap the red packets. When she hypnotised Butler Mingde, she also did not convince him to do anything out of line.
Even if she released this video, at most, Somi would only be reprimanded by the Manoban family's elders.
That wasn't the consequence she was hoping for.
She would tolerate this for a little longer and wait for a suitable opportunity to use the video. It was wiser to deliver a harsh, firm blow to the opponent.
Jennie kept her phone in her pocket and headed for the Manoban family's mansion. Right before she entered the living room, Lisa stepped out and tugged on her hand to urge her towards the yard.
"Where did you go earlier?" She asked softly.
"I had some instructions for Bambam." Lisa appeared slightly secretive.
She frowned. "What's there for you to hide from me?"
"You'll find out soon."
A few minutes later, Bambam drove a SUV and came to a stop right before them.
Lisa tugged her into the backseat before she asked. "Where are we going?"
"You'll know when we arrive." He did not answer her directly.
Jennie took in the familiar route and recalled her past memories.
They were headed for the Civil Affairs Bureau.
In their previous life, he had forcefully brought her to this place. Due to the Manoban family's power, her objections were of no effect.
The registration was but a formality. At the time, she had hated Lisa to death. In contrast to that, she was filled with anticipation right now.
Jennie smiled.
Lisa took in her stunning smile and felt that in comparison, even a thousand blooming flowers would appear dull. He instantly became dazed from watching her.
As expected, Bambam stopped the car before the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Jennie intentionally turned towards Lisa in confusion. His gaze was cold and heavy but filled with anticipation. "Didn't you agree to my proposal? The wedding will be in two weeks. Let's register our marriage first."
She sat there without moving.
He was suddenly worried that she would go back on her words. Perhaps it was because she was too lovely, but he often felt that she would slip out of his fingers easily. "You can't go back on the promise you made to me!"
She lifted her hand to touch his face and pressed a kiss against his lips. "Silly. There isn't a single woman in this world who wouldn't wish to marry you. I haven't gone foolish. Did you bring the necessary documents to register our marriage?"
Lisa was left dumbstruck by her kiss. He savoured the lingering, soft sensation against his lips while Bambam responded on his behalf. "Madam, please be rest assured. Boss has already instructed this subordinate to bring all the documents along."
"That's good." It turned out that these were the instructions he had given Bambam. Jennie opened the car door and headed into the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Lisa's expression was filled with joy and he rushed to follow after her.
