Chapter XIX - Essence

Previously on Final destination - Ohio:
The gang fights the geezer who trapped them in a deep underground cave. Upon showcasing their teamwork and strength they have built up in the last few years, they managed to defeat the geezer. And after being questioned he finally said - "I will tell ya everything I know.. after all.. I still need yo help."

The ground on the surface shakes as the 5 mechs walk over the landscape. What was previously a lush green forest full of life, has now been destroyed and harvested by the working-class mechs, leaving only rocks and some batches of grass here and there.

The mechs (in case you forgot, which you definitely have):

05-HERCULES a mech made out of tough carbon fiber allowing realistic human-like movements.

04-HERMES a rather small mech at only 3 meters tall, it excels at movement with its rocket busters and has a very deadly high frequency dagger built in to its arms.

03-ARES a gigantic 20 meter titan with its spear & shield and a copper red aesthetic it looks like a formidable spartan warrior.

02-HADES a dark mech with a skull face covered in dark robes, abilities still unknown

01-ZEUS the leader of the mechs. A silver white mech with high voltage current flowing through its body, it is capable of shooting lightning bolts along other things.

They were patrolling the harvested area of the forest in search of the geezer. They knew that he was the one holding one of the seven sacred artifacts of Ohio, the stone of life Etherium. While they were doing their job they got a report that someone attacked and annihilated a nearby  harvesting unit, so they headed there. They didn't care about the extraction unit in the slightest, all they wanted was the geezer, who was most likely the person that attacked those robots.

Indeed this entire forest exploitation scheme was setup for the soul purpose of finding the geezer along with the artifact itself. Their leader was a mysterious and merciless dude named Toguro, by many local Brazilians called stuff like "the demon of the crimson blade". Some claimed they knew Toguro and that he was also from Brazil, but there was no way to confirm it as he never showed his face. Those people said that he was an excellent swordsman who went to an expedition to Ohio in search of treasure and greater challenges, but when he returned he was different, a changed person. It is unknown what happened on his adventures but what they for sure knew is that he was corrupt with power. He quickly made up a gang and became so powerful that even the government couldn't oppose him, so they just let him be as they feared for their lives.

Anyways back to the mechs. As they were marching towards the attacked unit, they felt strong energy. However it was not the geezer. They had special equipment just for detecting and countering him so they knew whether it was him or not. Either way they marched towards the energy source. But at once Zeus and Hades stopped. The other mechs following their command also stopped.

Zeus angrily - "AAAAA WHAT IS THIS!?"

Hades asked - "you felt it too?"

Zeus - "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THOSE BASTARDS DID BUT I AM GOING TO CRUSH THEM, FULL SPRINT AHEAD!"

To any outside observer this would've seemed like a schizophrenic attack at best. But it made total sense to the mechs. Unlike humans with their fleeting memories, the mechs clearly remembered every moment of their existence, including the clear memory of traveling back in time. What actually happened is that they fought and obliterated the gang, but at last Farima used a device to travel a few minutes back in time.

The gang had to recall the memories together but the mechs knew everything that just happened, well at least Hades and Zeus..

Furious by this turn of events the mechs charged forward. But before long the traces of the gang's energy disappeared.
