Battle of Paris Part III

Kevin watched as Skayei's body trembled and a piece of skin on his abdomen chipped off in a palm sized chunk. The unenthused look dissipated from Kevin's face What the hell is going on? Kevin thought, he saw that underneath Skayei's skin was a swirling red glowing material. It reminded him of magma as it swirled and moved amongst itself, Kevin then felt a rise in spiritual energy and it all clicked. He wasn't channeling his spiritual energy, he was just expanding it; he's nothing but pure spiritual energy inside of the shell of a person. Kevin watched as pebbles and small rocks were being pulled towards Skayei He's like a star, the more he expands the denser he becomes until he finally implodes... He thought. I gotta end this before- Swiftly, Skayei jumped from the ground and charged at Kevin with his left arm raised. Bracing for impact Kevin raised his guard hitting Skayei's arms head on, Kevin's eyes widened when he realized something He's gotten stronger, this might be harder than I once thought. Kevin pushed his arms forward creating distance giving him space to throw a right hook. Skayei took the hook to the face and stumbled to the side holding his head, more pieces of his skin fell off sounding like chunks of porcelain hitting the ground. Somehow that punch seemed to give Skayei his mind back, for the first time since the fight began he began speaking between chuckles

"This is what I've been waiting for, the moment you realize you've lost" he said, Skayei turned his face to show a big chunk of the left side of his face was now writhing red glowing spiritual energy. He looked like a porcelain doll that had been broken but disturbingly realistic

"Lost? Kind of cocky for someone with half a face" Skayei laughed 

"You just don't know what's yet to come" He said before charging forward again, this time Kevin quickly switched over to his air technique to move away quickly. Surprisingly, he couldn't move as fast as before and was quickly met with a right hand that he tried to block. The force behind the blow was so powerful it sent kevin flying across the block into a fire hydrant. Kevin shook his head trying to get his mind back as he slowly stood up I took that while in my air technique, that shit does not feel good. Why was I slower than usual? He must be hiding something. The water from the hydrant washed over him refreshing his body. I can't afford for him to punish me while I use this technique, but I still need to figure out how to outrun him.....He's not any faster than before. Kevin, heard stomping approaching him and slowly got up from his back. Skayei approached with a smile 

"What was that about cocky?" Kevin grabbed a rock in his hand as he made it to his feet. 

"You think Imma stop talking shit because you sent me flying? I still blocked it bitch, you had to slow me down to even get that" Skayei kept his smile 

"Just keep talking" he said before charging forward once again. Kevin repeated what he did earlier and tried to outrun him but, this time he threw the rock up as he did so. The rock was supposed to go flying straight up but, instead it was pulled straight down. realization hit Kevin as he once again saw a fist approaching him, quickly he switched over to his rock technique and blocked the blow. The impact pushed Kevin back on his heels a few feet but, nothing else It's that spiritual energy of his, it has it's on gravitational pull...he really is like a star.....If he rushes me I can't run away......Spiritual ranged attacks won't work either.....Hands it is then. Kevin then began stretching and warming up, His eyes were now locked on the monstrosity that was now Skayei 

"Lets spar" 

Meanwhile Sapphire had locked eyes with Teresa, she held a deep hatred for the demon and was quickly thinking of payback. She began seeing the layers of emotion over Teresa, she was layered with purple which signified cockiness and pride. She then looked up at the few portals that were summoned to keep the wall of meteors between them. I see the same purple energy around her that's around the portals but none of them are on the meteors themselves. Just maybe I can attack the portals themselves and injure her indirectly. Sappire thought, before she enacted her plan she could feel Gabriel and Kevin's fight raging on Maybe I should contact the others, jumping these guys would be a good opportunity to wipe them out. Sapphire waited a bit before trying to contact the others via her mental link You guys, wherever you are we could use some extra firepower; we're up against some powerful demons. There wasn't a response after a few seconds so Sapphire tried again Hey, I know you guys might be busy but; we could use some backup. Once again no response, Sapphire sighed
