As Jeonghan woke up to the familiar sound of loud noises outside, his heart raced with a sense of déjà vu. It felt like reliving a nightmare from two years ago, the memories flooding back in a rush of adrenaline-fueled panic. With trembling hands, he pushed himself out of bed, the urgency of the situation driving him forward.
Stepping outside, Jeonghan's worst fears were realized as he found himself face to face with members of Rubina's gang. His heart pounded in his chest as he realized the Midnight gang had fallen prey to their enemies once again. Before he could react, he was grabbed from behind, his arms pinned tightly against his sides.
Struggling against his captors, Jeonghan's mind raced with thoughts of escape, of finding a way to warn his friends and turn the tide against Rubina's gang. But his efforts were in vain as he was dragged before Rubina herself, her imposing figure silhouetted against the moonlit night.
Rubina cut an intimidating figure, dressed in her signature red jumpsuit, her lips painted crimson, and her red boots gleaming in the dim light. Her gaze bore into Jeonghan's, a mix of triumph and malice dancing in her eyes.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Rubina purred, her voice dripping with menace. "It seems the Midnight gang has fallen into our little trap once again."
Jeonghan gritted his teeth, refusing to show any sign of fear in the face of his captor. "You'll never get away with this," he spat defiantly, his voice trembling with suppressed rage.
Rubina chuckled darkly, circling around Jeonghan like a predator stalking its prey. "Oh, but we already have," she taunted, her tone filled with smug confidence. "And now, it's time for you and your lover to face the consequences of your actions."
Seungcheol stood tall, his gaze unwavering as he addressed Rubina and her gang. "Attacking under the cover of darkness, ambushing people in the dead of night... That's the coward's way," he declared, his voice filled with conviction. "Real strength comes from facing your enemies head-on, not hiding in the shadows like spineless rats."
Rubina's eyes flashed with anger at Seungcheol's words, her grip tightening on the gun in her hand. "You dare to lecture me about strength?" she spat, her voice laced with venom. "You think you know anything about what it takes to survive in this world?"
Seungcheol met Rubina's glare with a defiant stare of his own. "I know enough to know that true courage isn't measured by the darkness of the night, but by the light of one's convictions," he shot back, his voice steady despite the threat looming over him.
Rubina's lips curled into a sneer as she pressed the gun against Seungcheol's temple, her eyes blazing with fury. "You talk a big game, but let's see how brave you really are when faced with the end of a barrel," she hissed, her voice dripping with malice.
Seungcheol refused to back down, his jaw set in determination. "I'm not afraid of you," he declared, his voice ringing out with unwavering resolve. "You can try to intimidate us all you want, but we won't bow to the likes of you."
Seungcheol's voice cut through the tense atmosphere like a knife, his words carrying the weight of years of pent-up frustration and disappointment. "This is why I left you years ago, Ruby," he stated firmly, his gaze unwavering despite the gun pressed against his temple. "You're nothing but a coward, incapable of facing your problems head-on, always resorting to cheap tricks and cowardly tactics."
Rubina's grip on the gun tightened, her knuckles turning white with rage. "You think you're better than me, Seungcheol?" she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "You abandoned me when I needed you most, left me to fend for myself in a world that would chew me up and spit me out without a second thought."
