Walking Time Machine

Chapter 2: past, present, future

"Loki?! Loki?!" Mobius said but Loki completely disappeared "shit shit shit" Mobius starts to panic and realizes he needs help so walks down the hallway into the elevator and goes to the bottom floor. He gets out and walks into a room and calls out "Ouroboros? O.B.? Buddy you there?" Mobius calls out and O.B. Walks out of an extra room "Mobius wow, great to see you again!" O.B. Says "yea great to see you to listen I've got a situation" Mobius says "my friend he keeps disappearing and reappearing saying he's being pulled through the past, present, and future do you know what that is" Mobius asks and O.B. Lights up "oh you mean time slipping? Yea that's probably what it is" he says "but it's impossible to time slip in the TVA it couldn't have been that" O.B. Said and Mobius shakes his head "It happened I swear and he's disappeared can you find him?" Mobius says and O.B. Nods "yea yea I can but I should go with you I've never seen time slipping up close before and I could probably help get rid of it if he wanted" he says and Mobius nods. O.B. Grabs a TemPad and is able to track Loki's temporal aura, him and Mobius open a time door with the TemPad and walk through it.

Tony and Bruce sighed. They didn't know how to help Loki but they would try anyway, Loki is currently unconscious on a bed but is slowly starting to come back to reality and Bruce goes over to him. "What...what the hel happened I'm-I passed out didn't I?" Loki says and Bruce nods "yea you did I would recommend taking it easy for now" Loki nods and slowly stands up before disappearing and reappearing again. He grabs the side of the bed and Tony and Bruce are at a loss. "I don't even know how the hell this shit is even possible Bruce how can we help him" Tony says and Bruce makes Loki sit back down on the bed and turns around to Tony "I don't know, I really for once have zero idea of what to do." While Loki is sitting on the bed focused on trying not to throw up Bruce and Tony are in a corner discussing what they could possibly do when an orange portal opens up in front of them. Bruce and Tony step back startled and confused and two men step out. One is wearing a brown suit, striped black tie, dress pants and shoes, he has silver hair and a mustache. The other is wearing a green and grey onesie that looked like something a mechanic would wear (not Tony obviously) and is Asian, has black hair, and is wearing glasses. "Mobius!" Loki yells and stands up and walks over to the guy with silver hair which they guess is Mobius "you know these guys?" Tony asks and Loki nods "yes I know him" he points to Mobius "but not this one. Mobius who is this?" Loki asks and Mobius responds "this is my friend Ouroboros or O.B. As I call him, he's a mechanic and he thinks he knows what's wrong with you" Mobius says and O.B. Waves a little. "Wait wait wait hold up where'd you guys come from" Tony asks and Mobius responds "from the TVA or Time Variance Authority, basically it's a place where we catch people who mess up the timeline, like they do something they aren't supposed to do" Mobius says and explains everything to the both of them and Tony and Bruce look exasperated "wait your telling me 1 there's a multiverse 2 that you guys protect it and 3 free will doesn't exist and 4 you freaking WORK THERE?!" Tony says and Mobius nods and Tony runs his hands through his hair "my brain is officially fried and I don't say that often" Tony says and Bruce nods. "So you know what's wrong with Loki then" Bruce asks and O.B. Nods "he's time slipping AKA being pulled from different times at different places or slipping through space. Basically Loki entered the wrong time and for some reason his body tried to get back to his original time which leads the body getting confused and slipping through time and space." O.B. Says and Tony's jaw drops as does Bruce's "so he's now got the power to time travel anywhere he wants? Lucky bastard" Tony says and Loki rolls his eyes "I assure you stark it is not lucky at all it actually-" he gets cut off when he time slips again and grabs on to the wall and sits back down on the bed. "So how can we help him" Bruce asks, "we'll need to build a temporal aura extractor and someone has to put it out in the temporal loom-" O.B. Starts but Bruce cuts him off "wait...temporal loom?" O.B. Lights up again "oh yea so basically the temporal loom is where raw time is threaded together to create branches but too many branches can cause an overload and last time I checked it's starting to overload" O.B. Says and Bruce and Tony nod and O.B. Continues "anyway someone has to go out there in the temporal radiation in a huge suit and set up the temporal aura extractor, the person will hit a button and start to head back before the radiation peels their skin off their bones" Tony and Bruce look a bit horrified when he says that. "Then Loki will use a time stick and prune himself which a time stick is a stick that is used to prune things AKA take people or objects to the end of time or release them from time. Once Loki releases himself from time before he's taken to the end of time the extractor will grab him and rip him from the timeline back to his original" O.B. Says and Loki looks up "wait wait wait I have to violently rip myself from every thread of time in space?!" He says and O.B. Nods "that means prune yourself unless you want to keep the time slipping" "Norns no" Loki says. Bruce and Tony guide Mobius and O.B. To the rest of the avengers and tell them everything and they are speechless but Steve has a question "Mobius uhm so you've seen our whole lives right?" "Yea" Mobius says and Steve sighs "do we win against Thanos?" He asks and Mobius sighs "some timelines you do and some you don't" he says and that seems to be enough for Steve. "I'll take you guys to the TVA and we can get started and getting rid of the time slipping" Mobius says and gets on his TemPad and opens a time door and ushers everyone through it.

Once they go through the orange portal the avengers jaws drop. This place is absolutely insane! It's ginormous in size and it seems like there's no end to it. Steve is gawking at the place, Natasha is staring, Rhodey and Tony's jaws are halfway to the floor, Thor looks amazed, Scott is staring with his jaw to the floor on how huge it is, Nebula looks surprised at how massive this place is, Bruce is also gawking at it, Clint is also staring at the sheer size of the place, and Rocket starts to instantly think about how much he could steal from this place. O.B., Mobius, and Loki lead them to the temporal loom and on the way Loki may or may not have time slipped 4 more times but the eventually made it. "Ok," O.B. Says and they enter the room and the temporal loom is in front of them out the window "who's going out in this suit?" O.B. Grabs it and brings it up and no one really says anything till Tony steps up "why the hell not seems fun" he says and the avengers, Loki, and Mobius roll their eyes. O.B. Brings up the extractor and gets a time stick for Loki. "Ok stark once you get in the suit you'll go out there and attach the extractor to the gangway and press the button and walk back. You have to act fast because I have to close the blast door before the radiation gets too high and you'll get stuck out there and all your skin will peel off and you will die" O.B. Says and Tony sarcastically thumbs up O.B. Then turns to Loki and gives him a stopwatch "ok Loki red means wait, green means prune, don't wait any longer as soon as it turns green prune yourself because if you don't we won't be able to re-sync you and you'll be lost to time forever" O.B. Says and Loki looks absolutely terrified but nods and Tony gets in the suit. O.B. Handles the controls and opens the doors and Tony in the humongous suit starts walking down to the end of the gangway. Everyone is watching and hoping Tony will make it back. He makes it and puts the extractor in the end of the gang way and pushes the button. The stopwatch turns to the green and O.B. Yells "Now!" And Loki prunes himself and Tony starts making his way back. O.B. Starts closing the blast doors and Tony makes it back in but the blast doors are closing fast and Loki still hasn't come out yet. They start to worry but after a few seconds Loki is finally visible and right before the blast doors close Loki is thrown into the room and the blast doors shut. Finally the time slipping is over. The avengers, O.B., and Mobius grab him and pull him to the Main control room and it did work, he stopped time slipping but that doesn't mean he was well in fact he was pretty un well. "I'm fine Mobius, I'm fine Thor, I'm fine everyone" Loki says sarcastically rolling his eyes and Mobius shakes his head "like hell you are come on I'm taking you to the infirmary" Mobius says and the avengers agree with Mobius so they walk with him, Loki, and O.B. to the infirmary to let Loki get checked out. Loki gets all sorts of tests done and O.B. The one running the tests comes back in  the room. "ok Loki your results show-"
