We all know that feeling when someone you love does the unthinkable. It's different for everyone, and sometimes it leads people down a path of depression. This is Rochelle's story.
He was everything. Perfect. And there love was real, so she thought. She won't forget that summer even though it's been forgetting for ages by now. It all started that summer, it was just the beginning of it, new summer, new start. Thats all she wanted. They started talking like everyone else, Facebook, and even though that sounds ordinary, it was more. When she was talking to him she felt alive, and complete. He made her feel at home. He was her home.
The day came when they decided to meet for the first time, they agreed to meet at the annual Fourth of July fireworks. She was very excited, and nervous at the same time, she couldn't wait. It took all day waiting for him, but that was ok she had time to prepare herself. To look good, and special for a special person. The time was near.
He had finally arrived with a weird looking guy, and the minuet she saw him, her heart stopped. Not in the sad depressing kind of way. A good way, and she liked it. They made small talk as the day went by, and the fireworks came, she felt fireworks more in her stomach than anything else.
When the fireworks went off there first real conversation kicked off. They were talking about was how the fireworks in Disney world where so fascinating, and beautiful. Through the whole conversation she could feel him trying to grab her hand. She felt anxiouse. She wanted him to touch her, and hold her, not in a dirty way, but the cute romance way.
The fireworks had ended, and they decided to take a walk as they were walking out of nowhere like he asked to hold her hand. He wanted to be seen in public with her. Hand in hand. She said yes, of course, and the minuet there hands touched she felt alive like a warm glow shot through her, and she never wanted it to end. For all she cared they could stay hand in hand together. Forever.
There was a spot on the beach, it was clear by now all the drunk fourth of Julyers had gone home, and those left where those who wanted enjoy the beauty of the beach without ruckus. They found a spot by the swings, under the starts, next to a fence. Over it was a private beach. As they sat in the grass there conversation was endless, and she couldn't help, but notice the smile he had when he talked about all the things that he liked. He also had an amazing twinkle in his eyes, that shined brighter than anything she had ever seen, so radiant.
Unfortunately there conversation was coming to an end they knew at one in the morning they ought to be getting back home. They started walking back, hand in hand, and out of nowhere he asked her to the movies, then he did the unthinkable he looked nervous for a second, and she wandered what bothered him, so she asked what was wrong, and he said nothing. so they went about, and out of know where he asked her to be his girlfriend, under the starts, he asked her out under the starts, and the beautiful round moon. Sounds ordinary, but to her it was cute. She had never really been on an official date, so it was perfect. Special. Just as she thought it couldn't get any better as they were saying goodbye it started with a hug, and out of no where with a devilish grin he said "kiss me" just like that, she stared at him with beaming, nervous eyes. At first she rejected it she was inexperienced, and only had kissed one person before, she wanted to be perfect for him. He looked dissapointed, and in a playful way said, "fine your loss, can I at least get one last hug?" Of course she did, but something inside her was screaming to let it go, and do it be fearless for once.
So she did. She kissed him, and it wasn't like any kiss. Better than a first kiss. One that nearly killed her. She closed her eyes, and when she did she felt weightless a kiss so enduring she forgot that gravity was the reason her feet was on the ground, it was him holding her down, protecting her. People say that when you have a "perfect kiss" you can't hear, or feel anything, well it's true. When she was endured in that moment she couldn't hear the open band that was playing, she couldn't even feel her own heartbeat, and to think this all took place in 3 whole seconds. He was perfection. They where official a couple, and she liked the sound of that.
