It hurts...

My head hurts..

A man closed his eyes tightly as he crutch his head. There is some undistinguished noises along with some murmurs that can be heard, it was loud but unclear. Unable to process anything, the man lost consciousness.

"When...wake up."

"Please...never...."

Murmurs again can be heard again the moment the man woke up. Some words can be heard clearly now and the undistinguished noises is gone.

The man opened his eyes. The first thing he saw is the blurry dark sky. He then crouched up. He still feel the headache from earlier but its not strong as it was. He messaged his temples. He looked at himself and found a soft blanket on him.

Where am I?

He heard a noise beside him. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked over to the side. His vision became a little more clearer. There, he saw a kid with a round shocked brown eyes looking at him. His hair is red and he looks no more younger than 12.

The kid started to tear up that made the man confused.

"S-Sister!", the boy shouted. The man furrowed his brows more. Before he could react, he heard a girl's voice.

"What?!", behind the boy is a running girl with branches in her arms. She dropped the branches as she got close. The moment the girl saw him, she stopped and was stunned.

The man stared at the two people infront of him.

There was a moment of silence as if they are all processing what is happening with different reasons.

The kid was the first to break the silence.

"Brother Yu! I'm glad you woke up! I-I thought you're- ahhh.", the kid hug the man unable to finish his words as he cry. The girl behind him covered her mouth as she began to sob too.

As soon as they finished crying, they realized that Yu doesnt have any reaction.

Could it be because he lost his memories?

The two children looked at each other.

Yu opened his mouth to speak.

"How long have I been gone?", it was hard for him to speak because of his dry throat. The voice he made sounds hoarse.

The girl was the first to open her mouth.

"You were gone for like... a week.", the girl said with a hint of hesitation in her voice.

Yu do not know what to react. Instead, he looked around. The place where they are in look like a forest. There is a campfire beside where he was sleeping. And three tents near it.

"We are in Vania.", the kid said as if he knows that Yu is analyzing the situation they are in. "We are on a hiding.", the kid said.

Yu looked at them.

"Hiding?"

"You passed out at the castle of Alkin, we ran as far as we could while bringing you and we happen to find this place. The soldiers are trying to track us down but you don't need to worry because we are being careful. This is far from the castle and the soldiers wont look for us here.", the girl answered.

Yu just nodded while still unsure on what is happening. He paused the moment the kid opened his mouth again.

"You don't remember anything, do you?", the kid asked.

Yu was taken aback by the kid's ...

"We know there is a possibility you will lose your memories because of what happened.", the girl said while trying to wipe her tears. "You don't need to be afraid to tell us.", she added as she began to tear up again.

The girl looks like she is 15 years old. She have long brown hair and a thin body. She doesn't look that average but not too pretty either. However, the kid beside her looks different. They don't have any similarities in looks.

They each have a bag on their hips. Yu is done analyzing the two.

"We can tell you everything you have forgotten.", the kid said.

It turned out his name is Yuwan Vernice, but they decided to call him Yu to make it shorter. He is currently 17 years old. They were on a 'mission' but failed terribly that Yu lost his memories in the process. They are companions that met at their last mission.

They have left out some information but Yu just take it all in since he doesn't have any memories he could remember that could tell if they are lying.

"Time is running out. I want you to rest more but we have to finish this mission soon so we can go back.", the girl said.

In this vast forest, a kid was sitting on a stool and watching his brother in his deep slumber.

"Kain, I will go check again.", the kid heard his sister call him. Kain nodded and didn't talk any further as if this was a normal thing that always happen. He then watched his brother again.

An hour have passed and he is starting to doze off. His sister, 'Shen' is still not back.

In the darkness in the corner, two lights shone. An eye was staring at Kain as if trying to wait for him to lost his consciousness.

It then started crawling the moment Kain was asleep. Moving as fast as it could, it was already behind him. It opened its mouth and revealed its sharp teeth. Alas, it could finally bite this small child, it was waiting for a long time to have this chance. Its teeth bit the kid's neck.

Blood started to pour out. Like a river, the Kain lost all his blood. The strange creature found the kid delicious as it started drinking every drip of blood.

The strange creature looked at the sleeping body infront of the dead kid. It then smiled and planned to bite again.

It came to a halt as it felt the strange thing in its stomach. Its stomach hurled and hurled, the bones inside started to crunch as it it was breaking apart. The strange creature started to shout in pain.

"Your clan is really annoying.", the strange creature widen its eyes as it stared at the kid it killed earlier. The dead body is still there but there was another person standing infront of it. "Haha, should I just find where each of you live and massacre every single creature like you?", Kain stared at the creature.

The creature started to feel fear. It never get to react anything. It's stomach exploded.

There was no blood, no flesh. The creature releases a smoke of gas the moment it exploded. The sound of something dropping in the middle of the gas followed.

Kain looked inside the gas and picked up the item.

"Really? Only one tooth? This strange thing really is not that worth it. I should have killed it the moment it arrived.", Kain grumbled as he put the item in his pocket. He flicked his finger and the body disappeared like the strange creature along with the blood and stains. He then came back on where he was sitting earlier as if nothing had happened.

Beside a man in his deep slumber is a kid.

The red hair shone as it replicates the image of flowing blood under the moonlight.
