Haisley's POV
"Alright interns, day 1 of your first day of many is over. You all passed and we are very impressed with the new team. Study though every night and day whenever you can and sleep whenever you can because you don't get that option as much anymore. Now go home" Cristina tells us and we all hug each other in excitement and I just see dad looking at me with proud eyes.
"I am so proud of you!" Dad tells me as he walks up to me and gives me a hug and I hug him back. The other interns leave and I hear them whispering my name in a snarky tone, I ignore them.
"So how does it feel?" Aunt Meredith asks me "It was crazy but a lot of fun at the same time."
"How many of them knew you were born here?" Aunt Cristina asks me "Very quickly but they don't know about my health." I admit and dad looks at me with a worried look. "I just don't know if I should tell them." I admit
"I can see this is a family conversation. Good job Hais, see you tomorrow." Aunt Meredith smoothly says and hugs me goodbye. "Yeah me too" Cristina says and she hugs me too and leaves. Now dad looks at me.
"Hais what if something happens while you are with them and they don't know what is going on? Plus they will find out someway because of you being in the records here of the hospital. It's not like you can easily hide this." Dad worries and I can tell he's worried for me because he starts talking faster.
"I know I just need to find the time and moment. Plus we all just met I can't pull the bag out on them yet. It might scare them or put pressure on them. I'll tell them if something does come up but nothing too serious to come up. I will" I promise dad and he sighs.
"Fine but just know you have me and people here to help you through it right?" Dad checks with me "I know, I've always known that well." I tell him with a smile. He puts his arm around me and kisses my forehead.
"Alright, day one done so let's go home and sleep it off because you especially will need it. I truly am proud of you." He says with a bright smile. "Thank you dad, it was a lot of fun already." I grab my stuff and take a breath before walking out the door because I am exhausted.
Once we get home I quickly eat and then go upstairs to my room to study for a bit and then sleep the first day jitters off. I am officially an intern.
