Chapter Three (flash back)

"He is sooo cute oh my god!" "Who are you talking about?" I'm really into vine so of course I find other interesting viners. I found this new viner his name is, Brennen Taylor. "This kid I found on vine!" My friend Sabrina came up closer to my phone to see, "oh you're right. He is cute!" She said eating a bowl of cereal. "I need to find all of his social media." Soon I found his twitter, Instagram, snapchat, and other important social networks. "Eva!" My mom called me from downstairs. "Hold on I'll be back." Sabrina plopped onto my bed finishing her cereal and turned on the TV to watch of course The Walking Dead. "Yes..." I said to my mom. "So how would you feel if I said we were moving to California?" My jaw dropped with excitement. "We aren't moving asap but we are moving soon." I hugged my mom and ran back upstairs. "Sabrina! I'm moving to California!" "When!?" She jumped out of bed, "wait what about Matt?" My excitement just went all the way down. "Shit. He's going to hate me. Sabrina what am I going to do?" I laid down on my bed looking at the ceiling just thinking what he might say or do. "Well that I don't know but I do know that we have to hang out as much as possible before you leave!" I hugged Sabrina and we planned out what we plan on doing from now on until I move.

I went to school pretty happy but also nervous. Matt is so controlling and I hate to say it but abusive. My parents don't know what goes down at school and after school. I don't know how to bring it up to Matt. What would I do if he goes overboard? Matt started vine for a while but stopped since he didn't get a lot of loops. I saw him coming out of the field and he was walking towards me. "Hey baby." I gave him a small kiss. "Hey so I have football practice tonight why don't you hang around?" I hesitated for a while just thinking when I should tell him. He seems to be in a very good mood I can't ruin that. "Okay do you need me to bring anything?" We started walking to our classes before he bell rang. "Why don't you bring some snack for the team?" The team? I was really asking him what HE needed not the entire football team. "Babe I don't have enough money for the entire team." "Eva I'll give you the money." I smiled and gave him a kiss. "Do you think we can talk about something after your football practice?" the bell was ringing and so we continued our walk to our first class. Matt saw some of his friend as we walked through the halls before he could even answer me he greeted his team mates. I looked down in frustration and just kept walking to the class. You would think he would ignore his friends for awhile to answer my simple question. I walked into class and sat by Sabrina. "He pisses me off so much." I slammed my books on my desk, threw my bag on the floor, and sat down. "Who? Matt?" She was writing down the notes that were posted on the wall. "Yes!" I took out my pencil and notebook and started taking the notes. "What happened?" I put my pencil down and turned to Sabrina, "he wants me to buy the entire team snacks tonight." "Okay and?" I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath "I am broke!" "Is he going to pay?" She sounded like that wasn't a big deal, it's really not I'm just mad. "Yeah..." "Eva why are you tripping?" She giggled. She turned back around the finish her notes. "Have you told him yet?" I turned back around and finished my notes and tried to avoid the question. "Eva did you tell him yet?" Just when I was going to answer Matt walked in. "Told who what?" Sabrina turned around and popped her gum. Matt took a seat next to me since there were 6 rows of 3 desks together Sabrina Matt and I could sit together. "Nothing." I said. Matt pulled me by my arm close to me and squeezed it then he leaned into my ear and whispered, "who were you talking about?" "Nobody." He squeezed my arm tighter. "Matt stop you're hurting me." I closed my eyes and tried to get out of his hold. "Eva who were you talking about?" He kept squeezing my tighter every time I didn't answer, "you. I was talking about you, let go of me!" I whispered loudly. He let me go and kissed my cheek. I looked at my arm and it was throbbing in pain tear drop was rolling down my cheek. Why am I even with him?I thought we would be something special, I wanted to be something special to him but I guess I'm just one of his "possessions" "Eva are you okay?" Sabrina turned and saw me starting to cry. "Mrs. Tyson can I take Eva to the nurse!" Matt squeezed my arm again and ran his hands down my leg. I tried to hold in the tears and I moved his hand away off of my leg,"No I'm okay just cramps I'll be fine!" I said before Mrs. Tyson could decide whether or not to let me go. Matt hugged me and I brought my head to his chest, "are you okay?" he asked. "Matt stop yes I'm okay." "Good you should be its just cramps." He kissed my forehead and continued his notes.

Class just finished and by now its lunch time. I usually always sit with Matt and his friends but since I'm moving why not change things up a little. Matt and I walk to the cafeteria holding hands, "Matt is it okay if I sit with Sabrina today? I promise to sit by you tomorrow." I close my eyes scared what he would say or do, "Yeah...You can take my car tonight to get the snacks here's the money don't spend it on anything else but the snacks got it?" He kissed my cheek and handed me the money and left. I called Sabrina telling her where I am. "We need to talk." I said through the phone. "Okay is it about what happened in class?" It was obvious I needed to talk about it. "I can't say anything right now I'm walking to the courtyard. I saw Sabrina walking over to where I was sitting. "Eva what happened? Are you okay?" "Sit down and shut up! I don't want Matt to know what I'm talking about. I'm fine." I pulled Sabrina's shirt down pulling her to sit down. "Let me see your leg." I pulled up the end of my shorts showed her my leg and now it looks like a nasty bruise. "Oh my god! Eva you need to tell him like now." "Shut up! I know I planned on doing it tonight but I don't know if I can! He said I could take his car to the store tonight please come with me! I don't want to go alone." "Eva I don't know." "Sabbs please!" I saw Matt coming towards us. "Shut up he's coming and you're coming with me tonight whether you like it or not." I got up and hugged Matt, "hey baby." He pulled me in closer to his body and gave me a kiss on my neck then we walked back to the table where Sabrina and I were sitting. "So is it alright if I bring Sabrina to the practice tonight?" Matt looked at Sabrina and then he nodded his head no, "what why?" "Because Eva it's a closed practice." Sabrina made a stupid choice and decided to say something, "it's not closed if you let Eva in you moron." I face palmed myself in embarrassment, "Sabrina stop." I started rubbing the temples of my head because I was so frustrated. "No I will not stop! I can't believe you let this asshole push you around!" "You should really listen to your friend and stop." I put my head down on the table, "can we all just stop. Matt you need to lower your voice you're drawing a crowd." Matt got up and grabbed my hand and held it so tight I wanted to scream. "Eva we have to go." "Wait let me grab my bag." I grabbed my black bag and ran back to Matt. "Hurry up!" "I'm coming!" I saw Matt's team mates look at me with concern I just smiled back. His team mates and I weren't that close but we are considered friends. Matt pulled me in by tightly grabbing my arm by now we are nose to nose, "if you ever raise your voice at me again." I cut him off, "I know stop." Tears started to roll down my cheek. His hands made their way down onto my wrists his hold got a little loose so my hand didn't hurt like before.
