Throughout the train station is hundreds of families getting ready to hop on the large, red train that takes you to Hogwarts.

Somewhere in the large crowds Rosalie Greengrass is walking slightly behind two older people — known to be her parents — with an unhappy look on her face. Due to this, some people would think she doesn't want to leave her parents to go to Hogwarts, it's the opposite, she just doesn't like to be in her parents company that's all.

The girl is five foot three, getting the short genes from her mother's side of the family — her grandmamma is four foot seven. She has brown curly hair with beautiful hazel eyes that pop out more due to the eyeliner she has played on her waterline. The girl picks up the pace slightly when her mother turns around to give her a glare for the immature behaviour, rolling her eyes subtly when the woman turns back around.

Rosalie and Andrea Greengrass have a complicated relationship. For some reason, her mother has always acted cold towards her, she can't remember an actual memory where she was completely sweet and heartwarming towards her. Maybe she was once but due to all the multiple bad memories they've covered over, but all she knows is because of that they don't get along. She's not going to cling for her mother when the woman is doing nothing to deserve it.

Of course she'll always yearn for it. Who wouldn't? The only difference is she isn't going to act on it — she has too much pride to do that.

The man beside her mother is her step-dad Sebastian. They had an even stranger relationship. Her mother had told her that the man was her step-father and in fact not her real dad when Rosa was eight years old, making her always wonder why the man had left her with this family. Why couldn't he have stayed? Stayed with her?  She would always ask in her head. The only type of father figure she had in her life was Sebastian. Sebastian used to be kind. He used to be caring — more caring than Andrea anyway. He would give her slices of chocolate cake for a treat when she did good in her pureblood tutor lessons or some money to go get her a Quidditch set every once in a while. He used to love Quidditch as a child, that was once thing they would agree on. Sadly, as she got older, he got colder and soon he wasn't the same man she once knew.

He didn't get her a chocolate cake when she succeeded, he just gave a stiff nod and left the room. She didn't get given a Quidditch set from the man— they didn't even talk anymore. The house was cold, empty. No laughter, no joy. No nothing.

Just silence.

And it wasn't a good silence. More of an eerie silence.

They weren't her parents. They didn't feel like them anyway, and it took her along time to figure that out. In first year, she had accidentally called a boy she had just met a mudblood. The girl she had now known as Anastasia Diggory who was sat beside him shouted at her, told her she shouldn't say that which had left Rosalie confused before she had realised. Of course she had already ruined her first attempt at friendship without even realising — just Rosa's luck. Thankfully, they both accepted her multiple apology's from the girl, realising she wouldn't have known due to her lack of knowledge about the matter.
