I winced at all the noise we were making as the group ran down the stairs. I figured Hunter was probably just as irritated by it, what with his heightened senses. I had come to realize that he and I shared a lot of characteristics like that, only it was my ability with the Force that gave me my senses while his was programmed into him. Rex was in the lead, saying something; but I couldn't hear. Batcher seemed to be making the most noise.

All the noise was keeping me from thinking; I needed to think but I couldn't.

We had just lost Fireball. How could I have let that happen?

Crosshair was talking to me. I snapped out of my thoughts and tried to focus on him.

"—missing all the fun," he was muttering.

"Mmhmm," I agreed, hoping he wouldn't notice I had no idea what he was talking about.

His helmet tilted to one side. "You...alright?"

I shrugged, my hand instinctively touching my lightsabers for comfort. "I'm okay, Cross. I just—LOOK OUT!"

I roughly shoved him out of the way as a blaster bolt whizzed by his head. I ignited my yellow shoto and blocked a second blast. Without needing to think, I dove for cover behind the wall as the others did the same. Peeking through the opening, I realized it was that blasted CX clone shooting at us. Crosshair already had his rifle up and was shooting back at him. I grit my teeth as each shot missed.

"Go!" I shouted at Hunter. "Cross and I got this!"
He nodded, motioning for Rex and the others to follow him.

"Okay, Crosshair," I snapped. "Ready?"

"Whenever you are."

Jumping out of cover, I drew the assassin's attention towards me. I felt the clone's attention turn to me, and he fired at me. I tucked and rolled, stopping in a crouch. Reaching out with the Force, I gripped the assassin with it, freezing him in place. "NOW!"

Crosshair took his shot...and it missed.

Just then I noticed the explosive on the wall nearby, shot into place by the CX. Sneaky little assassin knew how to take care of a Jedi, that was for sure.
Reflex took over me, and I dove for cover. Just before I hit the ground, I felt a searing heat on my back, and the world spun away into darkness.

"Viz? Viz, wake up!"

"The kriff," I moaned as I got feeling back into my body. "Ugh, what the kriff..."

"Viz, we need to go!"

"Omega?" I asked, straining to see straight. From what I could tell, I definitely wasn't in the stairwell of the Teth monastery. A crash site seemed more like it.

"On your feet, now," Crosshair snapped.

"What happened?" I asked, rubbing my head as I slowly stood up. "Where are we?"

"We crashed in the jungle," Omega told me. "We got shot down."

I chuckle. "I'm out of it for five seconds..."

"Never mind that," Crosshair said irritably. "We need to move."

"Is everyone okay?" I asked, looking around. I did a head count: Crosshair, Omega, Hunter, Wrecker, Rex, Howzer and Nemec. That was everyone.

"Viz, you okay?" Hunter asked, stepping over to me.

"Yeah, sure, just concussed," I smiled.

"The rendezvous with Echo is this way," Hunter said. "Come on."
