"So...why did he leave you anyway?"

"..."

Sebastian noticed the woman was now completely silent and was giving him no answer. After a few moments of silence where his curiosity reached its pinnacle, he now decided to ask another question, looking at the woman's eyes with an expecting gaze. "I bet it was because you're too much for him to handle... am I right?"

'...too much for him to handle...' "Shut up!" It was those exact words that made her cover her ears in remorse and curl up into a ball. She didn't notice that her bracelet fell out of her pocket.

As for Sebastian, he didn't realize that he struck a sore spot with that question seeing her shriveled up like she was trying to shut out the sounds coming from him.

But when he saw something gold that fell out of her pocket, he became more intrigued. He picked up her bracelet and noticed the engraved word "Rose" on the heart-shaped pendant. He believed that must be her name and thought that it was a very adorable thing.

"...Why're you still here?"

Sebastian looked at her pained eyes when she asked that. "I'm staying here because you're clearly hurting from something that I caused...and I can't leave you like this when you're...like this..."

"Oh? The playboy's suddenly showing his soft side... what gives?" She felt uneasy when he suddenly showed his comforting aura.

He was amused by the woman's remarks especially now that he knew she saw his soft side after her emotional breakdown. "Maybe I'm not the cold-hearted playboy you initially thought I was. I'm really concerned about you, and I want to make you feel better. You clearly deserve it." He was now leaning in a little bit closer towards her, looking at her with expectant eyes as he waited for the woman to say something.

"...Whatever...how would you feel if I easily replaced someone better than you?!"

"Like that would ever happen!" Sebastian replied sharply. He did not expect her to suddenly lash out at him when he had just shown some signs of concern and compassion towards her. "Who in their right mind would choose someone else but you? You're one of a kind. And you're going to replace me? You can't."
