Stephanie was on her way to her house to pick up the note for Polaski. The streets were full of cars. She thought it was kind of strange for this time of day when people are usually at work, especially in her neighborhood, where she was. She had been sitting still for a while now just a couple blocks from her house. After about ten minutes she got tired of waiting and maneuvered the car to the side of the street and put it in park, then proceeded to walk the rest of the way.

As Stephanie got closer to her home she can see fire trucks and with their lights still running. As she gets a little closer, she can see smoke billowing from the windows of her house. She runs toward her home till there is a firefighter that stops her from getting too close.

"Is this your house miss?" the firefighter asked.

"Yes, what happen?" She answered the man with tears rolling down her face.

"I'm sorry but there was an explosion in your residence, and flames destroyed what the explosion didn't. Come here and sit down, you look like you are gonna faint."

Stephanie let the man lead her to the fire truck to sit down before she fell down. She kept her eyes on her now crumbled house, scared that she could have been inside, devastated that all of her possessions had been destroyed. That's when she realized that the note she needed to get was in the house as well. All of the sudden she hears a woman's voice say "She's coming down." and saw other firefighters run out of the house just seconds before it all fell to the ground.

"I am a lieutenant in the CFD, I'll take you to the firehouse so we can talk. There is much to tell you."

He drove Stephanie to the firehouse in a red pickup that had white words on the side that read, Chicago Fire Department. They were both silent the whole way there until he pulled the truck in the garage of the firehouse.

"One of my men found pieces of a device that we believe were parts of a bomb. I see that you are a cop, have you been working on anything that might put you in this kind of danger?"

"Well, I work homicide so any case could put me in the way of danger, but for someone to go at me directly is not very common."

Stephanie's hands were shaking now because she knew that this had something to do with the note. What she did not know was if they were trying to kill her or make the note disappear and used the most destructive way possible.

"Do you have a place you could stay?"

"I can get a motel till I talk to my insurance company and see where it goes from there."

Lieutenant John Sway looked at Stephanie, her eyes red from crying. Everything else on the other hand seemed to be perfect. Her hair was not one bit out of place and his favorite color, black, was tied in a ponytail swinging back and forth every time she moved her head. She sat up with straight posture, her legs in formation with her body. John thought that she must have been in the military to sit up so straight like she is. He always was attracted to women with great posture. What got his attention the most though was Stephanie's breasts. He thought they had to be a large C or even a D cup. As soon as he realized he was staring at them he corrected himself and looked into her eyes. Her eyes, a very beautiful shade of blue John thought to himself and could see how any man could get lost in them.

"I won't hear of it, I have a rental property that is empty and you can stay there till you get everything figured out.

John was usually a very nice man, never hurtful to anyone but he didn't know if he was offering his house because he was trying to be nice or because he is attracted to this woman who he had just met.

"I can't do that. I don't have the money right now to pay rent on anything."

"There is no charge, you need a place to sleep and motels are too nasty for someone like you.....anybody." John realized what he said and corrected himself hoping she didn't catch it.

Stephanie did hear John and it made her smile. She has not been complimented like that since her poor husband was alive. She looked John up and down and paid close attention to his muscles. Stephanie always did like a man that had muscles and kept in shape. She noticed that he kept sneaking glances at her breasts. She liked the idea that this gorgeous man was looking at her in this way. Without even thinking she arched her back like she was stretching so that her breasts would stick out, now she is wishing she did not put on a bra so her nipples would show in her top.

"If you insist, I will take you up on your offer."

"I do, and I also insist on bringing you some dinner tonight so we can talk some more."

Stephanie turned her head so that he could not see her blushing. It didn't take her long to turn her head back toward him to see his amazing brown eyes, clean shaven face and those muscles again. Stephanie thought to her self that his black skin looks so soft and wants to feel it. As she thanked him for his generosity she placed her hand on top of his, slightly rubbing it.
